Why fight ODLH at 147, but not Shane?

Manny was successful in his only fight 147 and I believe that regardless of what ODLH showed up, he would still have won.

So why a catchweight fight with Shane?

Manny is a great fighter and I wouldn't bet against him at 147 against Shane.

Because Shane is smaller than DLH.

Exactly. DLH is 154, Shane is 147. Both fights in effect will have been at a catchweight.

shane said that he makes 147 pretty easy, oscar had to go through alot more to get to 147.

Doesnt make any sense. If Shane is smaller than Oscar then fight Shane at 147 then.

it's so easy idiot... dela hoya is "was" the man... pacquiao would probably fight him even at 150 lb catch weight... it was the biggest fight of his life..

pacman is the "man" now against mosley.. so it should be at pacman's terms..

Manny negotiated for the fight to be at 147.

According to Roach Oscar can't pull the trigger anymore. In contrast Shane still has it.

i think the cathweight is a guarantee that his opponent wouldn't balloon up to a light heavy
