Berto very well possibly could be the next big thing at welterweight. But to go to the next level, he needs a special trainer. He should look into hiring Manny Steward or Mayweather Sr. With all the physical gifts that he has, he's still somewhat ordinary. Most fighters with his speed had more flash in their style and took more chances by throwing lightning flurries. It takes a special trainer to bring that out of fighters.Angelo Dundee brought that confidence out of Ali and Leonard. Stewart definitely brought it out of Lennox Lewis as well as Tommy Hearns. At this stage, I don't see him beating Cotto or Mosley. For one, I don't think he handles affective aggression very well.Cotto would pressure him and pick him apart the way he did Judah. I think him and Clottey would be a classic. But if he REALLY wanted to shake the critics, he should be the first welterweight champ to challenge Paul Williams. Its a win win situation. If not Williams, then he needs to fight a top ten welterweight.Or HBO should drop him.
