I'd like to see Berto fight these people, provided he keeps winnng:

    October-ish '09: Collazo II
    February/March '10: Quintana
    Summer '10: loser of Clottey/Cotto

I dunno man. Berto's doing his thing

Where exactly do you think he fits into the whole Cotto/Mosley/Mayweather/Pacquiao equation? I doubt he could get a fight with these guys for love nor money right now

His options are essentially limited to the likes of Collazo, Quintana, Judah(?), whomever gets the short end in the Cotto/Clottey bout, etc. And considering where he is at in his career (still young, still learning, still improving, still building the basis for a resume) I think his choice of opponents has been fair. Forbes, Collazo, Urango; these are decent names. It's not like he's "doing a Kessler", or an Erdei, and clinging on to his trinket for dear life. I think he's climbing the ladder at a suitable pace personally.

Berto should fight Collazo and then challenge Margarito in Haiti!

Berto really needs to fight the loser of Cotto/ Clottey. he has heart and i think he'll fight better against tougher opposition.

and his belt means absolutely nada.

I also think he needs to fight an orthodox fighter again... 2 southpaws in a row... never a pretty fight.

I can't stand people making excuses for Berto. He's green, he's young, etc. The fact is that he's got a belt and is been a professional for over 5 years after an amateur carrer with a lot of fights. It is time to start facing legitimate opponents! That belt does not belong around his waist. How is it that you can be a so called "champ" and be "green"? What-the-****-ever!
