It's really a fight for the money...
If $$ negotiations stop Pac-Floyd from happening, who then has better options?

Manny is the hottest commodity in boxing right now and has shown a willingness to take on anyone. Biggest PPV numbers does not equal the best fights that can be made. Every fighter from 135 to 147 is chomping at the bit to get a fight with Pacquiao and know they can get a decent payday without having to give in to the same ludicris demands that come with a Mayweather fight.Comment

Bob Arum is starting to play hardball over the split of money in a potential Pacquiao and Floyd fight, and I know Floyd won't back down. If Arum is even remotely serious about Floyd not even getting a full 50% (which I highly doubt), there's no way the fight would be made. My question is, who has the better option for big money, entertaining fights in the event that Floyd and Manny don't fight?
I maintain that Floyd is the bigger draw, being an undefeated American fighter with unheard of speed and talent. Floyd would seemingly have his pick of opponents from 140, 147, or even 154. He could dictate all terms, and I think a Cotto or Mosley would favor fighting Floyd without worrying about this catchweight nonsense.
Manny has already beaten the top dog at 140 pounds, so I don't really see a fight with anyone else there very appealing. Definitely not mega fight status. I know that he would probably have to soften his stance on catchweights. I also don't think he would make nearly as much money as Floyd would as a PPV attraction. What do you think?
Because he can fight Shane or Cotto at 147..they can make big pay days and not have to drain down to a catchweight.Comment

floyd has less options because he willing to retire if he don't get his way.Comment

Floyd has more options.
I'm sure Shane at his age.....would rather fight Floyd at 147...enter the ring at 160..intead of Fanny Pac at 142.
Same with Cotto.Comment
