Have to give Kermit credit he never really seemed to get frustrated and kept with what he was doing and held strong. Like he said probably his best overall performance and he proved something to himself. This should give him some good confidence going into future fights.
If you are slower than Cintron you are really SLOW.

I expected Angulo to show more intensity honestly, he showed the intensity in spurts, which was when he was most effective. Cintron fought a good fight though and was the deserving victor.

Cintron could have been more competetive with Margarito if he could have executed this strategy, and not just stand in front of him and trade. I like the improvement seen in his footwork. I would really like to see a rematch, but DiBella most likely won't make it and put him in there with Cory Spinks next.

I was there tonight, covering from press row. There was a story floating around, prior to the start of the fight--that Angulo may have had some issues in training camp.

Having said that, Cintron has always had athletic talent but seemed to lack the mental ability to overcome pressure, I think for the most part he did that tonight. I thought he was lucky to be able to run the clock out in the 12th as he looked exhausted in the round, but he stood his ground and fired back at times which I didn't expect him to do. He performed well tonight, 116-112 was reasonable.

Anyone that had this fight as a draw is delusional... Cintron schooled Angulo and exposed him...

                  - Angulo looked slow as a slug, and Cintron isnt even known to be fast
                  - Angulo is way to easy to hit

Despite Kermit Cintron showing improvement in this fight and more heart to go along with it, I still don't like the guy. As Max Kellerman mentioned he is a mandatory challenger to Sergio Martinez. But if I was Martinez, I wouldn't perform the Heimlich manuever on this joker if he was choking on a chicken bone. What is Martinez gonna gain by fighting this guy again? Yeah, he may avenge the draw, but we all know that Cintron is still not that good and Martinez beat him the first time. Even though he won tonight against Angulo, it looked to me like Alfredo would have stopped him if he had another round or two to do it. So to me, I wasn't impressed with this victory by Cintron at all.

Finally the overhyped and overrated Angulo was exposed for what he's not, a boxer. All his previous matches were handpicked guys that were stationed in front of him to be pummeled. I knew as soon as he faced a guy wit$h decent, not great speed he would get beat. I actually won $2700 by betting on cintron and I wasn't even worried. Angulo is or should I say WAS the most overhyped prospect and the WBC had the nerve to rank him #1. What a joke. Cintron just dominated him all night long and all you angulo nuthuggers just shut up and accept your boy got handled. I only gave 3 rounds to Angulo and he is done. he's too slow for this division.
