You gotta give props to Cintron

He went in and stuck with the gameplan, though I thought he should've thrown that left hook a little more being it was landing pretty flush when he threw it.

As far as Angullo, whether he was sick or not...he has very poor defense. He seems like your quintessential Mexican fighter (no disrespect) that comes straight forward and keeps punching. You can see midway through the fight Angullo was getting tagged but still coming forward. I believe he'll have a tough time with guys like Williams or Forrest who are bigger and will throw a good amount of punches to keep Angullo off. He's a tough durable kid, but you can see he's very limited in certain areas.

I think they're gonna have a tough time building this kid up for some reason.

Cintron has always been a good boxer, his problems are in his head and heart but last night he fought like he use too at the beg. of his career props 4 him and i hope he continues to fight this way. cuz i really think his power at 154 is def gone.

Man, Kermit Cintron was impressive last night. No matter what happens in his career from this point on, he can always be proud of this performance where he executed his gameplan flawlessly. I never expected him to come into the ring the bigger man than Angulo. He came in a Super Middleweight, and still managed to outspeed and outwork the still dangerous Angulo.

I think Ronnie Shields deserves all the credit in the world, because Emanuel Steward never had him looking that good. There are still some conditioning concerns, and he also could learn to sit down on his punches better, but the guy has definitely turned a new leaf in my eyes. I'm curious to see what's next for him at 147 or 154.

i think cintron did good, but let's not forget he looked good against someone with 15 fights,,let's see him in again against a top fighter,a champ, see if he can do it again,,he did what he had to do,beat an inexperienced fighter, now take that momentum with him, sometimes fighters need that, have it in his mind, get confidence and this was the perfect fight for him to achieve that...and for angulo, this fight is nothing more but good experience for him..

A pretty surprising result. But I said from day one, Cintron can win this fight. He boxed a pretty good fight, showing some good boxing skill and brain, but I feel Angulo just looked a touched lost, when Cintron started to use his boxing skills to outbox Angulo.

I've always thought Angulo could be outboxed, and last night proved my point. Angulo just seemed to really struggle when getting boxed, and didn't no quite what to do. And Cintron never really had much trouble doing it.

But Angulo can learn from this, after seeing him last night, Angulo with have to improve alot if he is to become World Champion, as I don't think he could beat any of the current Title holders at 154 at this stage. I think a showdown between him and UK's Jamie Moore, should happen at this stage and makes sense.

As for Cintron, he proved alot of people wrong last night as he was really counted out in this one. He will now most likely go on for a rematch with WBC Champ Sergio Martinez,

!!Man, I'm so happy for Kermit!!! But for Christ's sake, how about that broadcast crew? HBO is getting un-listenable. Did anyone else think that Harold Lederman got a call about mid-fight from the puppet-masters upstairs telling him to start scoring the fight for their new Mexican poster boy, after Harold actually started scoring a fight accurately for the first half of the bout? All of the sudden Angulo wins four rounds in a row? These HBO shills remind me of the Commie Dupes at MSNBC bending over (..and over again) for B Husssien *****. Honesty is a vanishing commodity in this Twilight Zone-esque era we're witnessing. (How's that "Hope and Change" working for you? Ha Ha Ha!!!)
