Pac also was KTFO TWICE in the lower weight divisions and was put down several times back then.

We also have more divisions today. And yes, we had fighters in the past that were small guys facing HW fighters.

And if you look at the HW division it is so wide with weight that we can factor that in especially. Look at Holyfield vs. Bowe, Lewis, etc.
Chris Byrd won a Silver Medal in the Olympics as a MW at 22 years old and then went on to train/eat his way up to HW because that was his goal...HW Champion. Byrd faced guys like Wlad and Vitali, IKE, Tua, McCline, Holyfield, Golota...even tried to get a fight with Lewis when they were both Champions. Yet where is his respect?

    How about Sam Langford?

    How about Barbados Joe Walcott?
pac fought from 106 to 147 in the pros...not ama but pros...i doubt any of t these you mentioned fought 10 div north from the lowest they started....proof

Look what happened to Manny in those lower weight divisions:

        Manny at 120+

        125+

IS THAT THE SAME FIGHTER WE HAVE TODAY?

And how many fights did Floyd have in comparison to those losses?

I understand the difference between amateur and Pro...and I understand what Pac had to deal with...but,
Like I've said many times before: Keep bringing up the 106, and overall, it all matters. He was KTFO TWICE back then and was placed on the mat other times.
who gets koed with headgears on anyways?.....you can ignore the 106 but you cant deny this fact....floyd started at 130 and now is still fighitng a natural 130lber in jmm....opposite of what pac is doing...

AGE is what I'm talking about. Floyd could have turned pro as well at the same age and had that same bs. of where he started at as a PRO.

You give respect for Manny for getting so far but it's overrated when you look at it in another light. Because he turned Pro so young he was also at a disadvantage and because of that, he was KTFO twice. He also didn't fight at 106 for to long. He quickly moved up in weight.

People get KO'd with head-gear on.
Floyd was still in the amateurs fighting Older guys as well but it's a different game.

Pac can't make weight anymore in those lower divisions and has continued to move up in weight. Even when he fought Diaz, he weighed 147 on fight-night which is why he told Freddie were moving up to 140. Even Roach said Pac was 152 at 6% bodyfat when training for Oscar and was working his way down. How he managed to go up in weight that weight and stay that lean and good is for another debate and day.
That isn't the same child that was fighting back in the day.

I have to go out in about 5 minutes as well...so talk to ya later.

Haters will come up with anything to discredit the brilliant career of Floyd Mayweather.
