Floyd Mayweather Jr. has lashed out at critics who suggest that Manny Pacquiao is the best fighter in the world. Mayweather, who hasn't fought since a December 2007 knockout of Ricky Hatton, returns on July 18 to face Juan Manuel Marquez at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Mayweather still considers himself the best pound-for-pound fighter in the sport and says the experts who call Pacquiao the best are not familiar enough with the sport of boxing. [details]

Floyds not right about anything. Pac fought Oscar at 147 because Pac was coming up from 135. Pac fought Marquez? of course he did but it took place at Feather and super Feather closer to both of they're natural weights. Pacquiao's P4P status was already right at the top before he fought Oscar and Ricky. Those 2 fights was just Pac putting the cherry on top. Another thing everyone forgets is that Oscar picked Pac.

Well said...the bottomline is both MAYWEATHER/MARQUEZ is using each other to get a fight with PACQUIAO...Until one these two knuckleheads beat PACQUIAO, he is p4p#1. Pacquiao fought Oscar at 147lbs instead of 154lbs like Mayweather is because PACQUIAO is naturally much smaller than Mayweather...Pacquiao started at 106, Mayweather started at 130lbs..big size difference. But when it comes to heart and determination and humility, PACQUIAO is much much bigger...I'm not a fan of both, but I hope MARQUEZ beat Mayweather just to see if there is any ounce of humility with MAYWEATHER (99.9% NONE)

when people say margarito kicked cotto's ass u guys come up with excuses saying it wasnt a legit win..without any proof, then you use the mosley fight as a proof when there wasnt any proof for the cotto fight...but in comes to mayweather he "ducked him" for fighting the linear champion for the same amount of money, and both had the same handspeed lol. apart from tht margarito lost his next fight to williams, then didnt look to great against clottey but destroyed cotto and made him quit.

it's not hypocrisy.. only in your scewered mind. you can't give floyd credit for things he didn't know in advance. no one knew about margarito plastering his gloves when he called out floyd.. it wasn't even thought of or imagined so he gets the criticism for ducking him. only now that he was caught do you use that as an excuse for a duck as if he knew what was going on, which he didn't.

anyway, should margarito's career be put into question? I think it should be looked into and investigated! from the paul williams fight and on. whether you like it or not, Margarito's career will be looked at like Resto's and everyone will question his wins. Did he cheat against Cotto or not? **** knows.. only Margarito and Capatillo do. It makes sense if they did cheat and I wouldn't doubt it..
after all that was the BIGGEST fight of his life.. why would he use it in a fight that wasn't a big fight but not in the biggest fight of his life? also, the blood pattern in the wraps matches.. but again, at the end of the day only Margarito and his trainer know if they cheated or not.

the ugly boy is just envious for the recognition pacman is getting. he is envious of pacman's feat. pacman demolished delahoya and hatton in fashion while he ran and hold delahoya all night. had he exchanged punches with delahoya and had he had the balls to fight delahoya like a mexican fighter, he would have been beaten. but ugly boy floyd is a coward. he don't want to trade punches with anybody who has power to knock him out.

Also, Floyd Jr said that he was gonna massacre De La Hoya...It look more like PACQUIAO Massacred De la Hoya...You can't massacre anyone when your too much of a defensive fighter. I hope Floyd Jr..stands up and actually exchange more with a fighter to see how superior he is..Fighters need to give MAYWEATHER a couple of low blows to get him to engage and get out of his defensive position.
