Exactly, he is setting the stage to make an excuse for avoiding Pac as well. "Why I got to fight that bum, I already beat the guy who beat Pac twice. He ain't on my level, the money isn't there, it proves nothing"

    Wait and see!!

I belive he really respects him, remeber that Marquez in the post fight interviews of his victories against Casamyor and Diaz said that Money May was the P4P #1, and Ego Money May must have liked that.

Of course, he will make it seem like he respect for Marquez. Why? It's to convince the doubters that his opponent is a legitimate threat. What is the other option... to tell the truth? That Marquez is actually way too small to be fighting at 140+ because he's looked more sluggish and vulnerable even as a lightweight?

Mayweather knows he's already won this fight.

LOL, you are prolly right. Marquez knew what to do to get on Money's good side...stroke the ego.

sour g****s Pictures, Images and Photos

biggest excuse maker ever.. mayweather is worst then Jones when he said he lost because he didn't want to give his father the credit.
Anyway, Pacquiao is a 135er so of course him beating De La Hoya is going to be a bigger accomplishment then Floyd beating him, Ricky too..

Mayweather is jealous of Manny, he mad because he no longer is viewed as the best (because he isn't) and it's tearing him up inside.

Floyds not right about anything. Pac fought Oscar at 147 because Pac was coming up from 135. Pac fought Marquez? of course he did but it took place at Feather and super Feather closer to both of they're natural weights. Pacquiao's P4P status was already right at the top before he fought Oscar and Ricky. Those 2 fights was just Pac putting the cherry on top. Another thing everyone forgets is that Oscar picked Pac.

He could be and I'd give him more credit if he took that fight. The Marquez fight is a mismatch in my eyes and Floyd does know this.

Mayweather is stuck in '05.. that would also explain why he still thinks he is the best.

True, all floyd has to do study some tapes of morales/pac fights and jmm/pac fights, and its an easy night. pacquiao never faced a counter puncher like may, only jmm comes close and both those fights are disputed.

"He said it wasn't right for people to just overlook Marquez, who is a tough fighter. We can't overlook this guy, Marquez. He earned the right to fight Floyd Mayweather. They had him in the background for so many years, just like me. Somebody has to give him that chance. Genaro Hernandez was a Mexican who gave me that chance and I take my hat off to him. Hernandez gave me my chance and I'm giving Marquez his chance"

nice seeing floyd giving marquez respect
LOL! so you think it's as easy as that hey? Just watch some tapes and your ready to go?
