    and train requires more energy to reach 90mph

    say if object A has 90psi (power)= 10kg(mass) x 9mph(velocity/speed)

    Object B also has 90 PSI= 30 kg x 3 mph.

    you can compensate the lack of mass with more velocity. hence speed equals power.

      Force = mass*acceleration--> (Kg)*(m/s^2)--> Newtons or (lb)*(ft/s^2)--> lb force

      Power = force*velocity--> (Newtons)(m/s)--> Joule or (lb force)*(ft/s)--> BTU's

      So as we can see, the faster something goes or the greater its velocity is in conjunction with a greater mass equals more power.

      However, if the object is lightweight yet has a great acceleration (ability to gain velocity as it moves) which indicates a high velocity, it should also have a great power. Force is comprised of acceleration and power is comprised of force and average velocity.

        lol. So. Speed doesn't generate power without Mass. Or else, the wind would hurt you every time it collided with your skin.

        Energy is an element for the duration of a fight not a punch. Energy expended depends on how smart/confident you are in the fight. Hence, Jermaine Taylor losing to Froch. Thought his power can get him out quick and ended up gassing later while Froch reserved energy.

        Also, the distance between two boxers is about 3 feet. Your not gonna be able to make up for lack of mass with more acceleration. Not enough room to do so.

            dude I feel soo bad for taylor, anyways arguing in terms of physics. speed = power, thats the law of nature, if something lacks the mass to generate power, it can compensate by increase in speed. I had my mathematical prove in the post above.

            as to your wind cant hurt you example, thats because the wind isnt going fast enough, you ever heard of solar radiation in outer space? that can kill you even though they are just electrons (almost massless)
            so why do they do so much damage to the astronauts? because they smash into your body at speed comparable to that of light

              I felt the same for Taylor. Anyways, thats totally different(bold part). A human isn't going to travel at the speed of light.

              I gave the perfect human example of Tyson. A massive guy, with incredible speed, KO'd guys even bigger than him. Increasing speed/acceleration in a boxing match isn't going to happen. Unless you go running from the red corner and throw a punch that just so happens to land on the chin of your opponent standing in the blue corner.

              However, you can probably compensate for lack of size with a type of punch. Like the overhand punch or a wide looping hook.

                the term power in boxing is so relative, the easiest way for people to identify power is with mass, but if that massive fist is going at 1mph, thats not power,

                smaller speed guys carry power too ie. pacquaio, naz, and tyson, mind you tyson was a small heavyweight and he had less mass then his opponents, but tyson was also a fast mother****er, he obtained his power becuase he emphasised his training to increase in explosiveness which is acceleration.

                  Exactly what I am saying. We are on the same page bro, just explaining it differently.

                  We can agree that you need both a decent size and decent speed to generate power. Right?

                      Speed all the way. I already have the power. I just work on speed, reason why I haven't made it a hobby to lift weights in 7 years.
