the books were highly acclaimed and written by the author of the hobbit which we all had to read in school.

all 3 movies were nominated for best picture and won 1.

you need to read/watch it.

just don't go overboard like joartcc and dress up like a hobbit.

Tolkien was devout christian and all 3 books are filled with biblical symbology.
