Well Mundine is now the IBO Middleweight champ. So that has to give the organisation a fair bit more cred doesn't it?

And if Cloud beats Woods Cloud will have a belt. Maybe Dawson can then challenge Cloud to get his old belt back if he wants.
Clinton ****ing woods is still fighting? He is an embarrassment Cloud better win because if he losses that would be quite embarrassing.

LOL. It's not cred I'm referring to, such as what fighters hold their belt, I'm trying to figure out who are their investors and PR team. I remember they were a crappy belt that gave a belt to Roy Jones so he could pretend he was still the LHW champ when he fought Tarver for the first time.

its because they rank everyone, even if they have a rival belt.
plus theyre not stripping their champions when those guys are getting into megafights. sooner or later, the #1 guy in each weight class will hold the IBO belt.

its rather refreshing in a way, but annoying too because now we have about 6 'legitimate' title belts nowadays...

not to mention that Dawson recently praised the IBO belt after droppign the IBF, and Wladimir also vouched for it.

not many people seem to even mention the other belts nowadays anyway.

Read their mission statement, brought tears to my eyes
            IBO Mission Statement
            What the I.B.O. Is:
            1. We use the only independent objective computerized rankings in boxing today.
            2. We abide by and work in conjunction with the rules and laws of State and Country Commissions.
            3. We license only fair, honest and experienced judges, referees and commissioners of the highest integrity. (Licenses limited to 30 judges and 20 referees.)
            4. Simple yet exact guidelines for champions.
            5. We limit our role in boxing to ranking boxers, sanctioning matches authorized by our championship rules and awarding the championship title to the winner.
            6. We are independent, honest and accessible and offer total disclosure of our financial records.
            What the I.B.O. Is Not:
            1. We do not use subjective ratings based upon politics, favoritism or pressure from promoters.
            2. We do not impose self-serving mandatory defenses.
            3. We do not “regulate” boxing. This is left to the local commissions. We do not overrule local jurisdictions or laws. We control only the title, not the event.
            4. We are not controlled by promoters.

Fighters praising it is one thing - most of them who do have the belt or are in a position to, usually the former. Even then it's a bit troubling. But I've heard HBO announcers mention it like its legit (which is VERY surprising given how they, at times, ignore the main three sanctioning bodies) and they aren't the only ones. Could be nothing but interesting nonetheless.

All I know is IBO >>>>>>>> WBO. The **** not even close. They will be recognized soon enough.

Actually to be honest, WWE > WBO.
