in morelos mexico each colonia has kids that fight kids from other colonias in quick scraps for braging rights, the ages range from 5 and up, those kids never used any gloves or headgear and you would see some good punching form, its a tradition in parts of mexico

My son would kick his ass!!!! you should put him in Karate for starters, they have some pretty good Sparring tournaments that gets them ready for boxing when they get older.

During My elementary days in the Philippines, Whenever there was a dispute with kids ranging from 8-12, they settled it in a fight in the rice mill across our school. No gloves .. they just want to prove who was the real man.

I was never into fistfight but I watched this kind of spectacle a couple of times.
