And to think Baldomir took everything Forrest had.

Mosley was never really the same in that fight after the headbutt, that huge uppercut didn't help either, that shot nearly took his head off.

Not if it knocked your equilibrium off. It could linger throughout.

Say he received a concussion: It is not going to go away.

There have been fights where a fighter takes a big shot and is stunned and is hurt for the rest of the round. Why not with a head-clash that caused him to blead and he said messed his balance up?

So why didn't it knock off Vernon's equilibrium too???

BOTH fighters were involved..and it's not like Shane didn't have his moments in that fight..Vernon just had too much firepower..size..and hunger.

Is the bodyshot in that vid? I was trying to listen out for a "holler" as you folks put it, but I couldn't make anything out.

Maybe the placing of the heads...how the collision happened.

                  Why didn't Forrest bleed too?

In a car accident: Why does one person die in one car and in the opposing car, the other driver survives?

                  Many factors to think about.

Some people get hurt in a clash and some people don't depending on many factors at hand.

I've clashed heads before with people which is why I brought it up. I've only actually been hurt a bit once in a head-clash and that was when I was hit in the back of the head during a football game...played in the playground with no helmets/pads.
But one time that comes to mind is when I was playing baseball and during practice, I went for a pop-fly at the same time as a teamate (and we were in the out-field) and we clashed heads...but it was him laying on the ground hurt and me with the ball in my hand. He was messed up for some time afterwards and I was find. I actually didn't feel anything really.

I try to use my own experience to see what's up.

The headbutt set up Shane for those killer rights, just like what happened with Holt-Torres. Forrest fought the fight of his life that night and has been overrated ever since.

I think the headbutt caused him getting hurt later on, but indirectly.

I think the butt caused Mosley to lose concentration/focus which then left him open to get clocked so cleanly and he possibly never saw it coming. He got unwound from that butt. You could see the desperation in him.
