The word going around is that Manny Pacquiao is planning to choose either Shane Mosley or Miguel Cotto for the opponent's slot on October 17, the Filipino champion's prefered date to return. I know that's a maxim in boxing.

It always makes me think why the hell did JMM go to Asia to fight Chris John for peanuts?

People do forget that above all this is a business, and to maximize the money you make is always a consideration when you have star appeal.

That's why I don't begrudge Floyd fighting DLH or Hatton. Any idiot in their right mind would have for that kind of bread.
