Floyd has only been "retired" for a little over a year a half, quite different; so of course people mention his name as most saw his "retirement", as merely a prolonged vacation.

I agree that Floyd could win those fights you mentioned based on his talent, but as they say, you gotta fight the fights to cement those claims. He must show a willingness to search out the biggest challenges. One minute Floyd is saying that he is the biggest PPV draw right? Now follow the logic....when asked about fighting Shane he mentions Shane not being a PPV draw, but here is where his logic(excuse) falls apart, if Floyd considers himself a PPV draw, then the money will be there regardless right? I mean he is household name right? He does commercials, has a record label. So people will pay to see him fight, if he such a big draw as he claims to be right?

In other words, fight the man! No more excuses, just fight the fights! If he is such a celebrity as he and his nuthuggers proclaim, then he can make more money outside of boxing right? Again, the money will be there;no more excuses! Sugar Ray Leonard came out of retirement to fight Hagler, he sought a challenge, regardless of whether or not you think he won or lost. If Floyd is supposedly as good as he claims, then why choose Marquez?
I want to see him fight them guys too and I think some on here
are overlooking that I am agreeing in that aspect of it. Floyd
is fighting JMM not Mosley, so I wouldn't talk about Mosley either.
It's the same as Cotto saying he ain't trying to focus on a fight
with Manny because he has Clottey on his mind. Mosley is stuck
in limbo right now because everyone is fighting but him and making
the big $. Mosley is obsessive right now. Just do the knowledge,
after his fight witn Antonio Margarito, what did he do? Call out
Floyd Mayweather Jr and went at him with an offer of 8MIL? Floyd
made 8Mil fighting Baldomir like how many years ago? Why would
you even go to him with a weak offer like that if Mosley really wanted
the fight. If some of you stop to think about it and peep Shane's moves
you can see something ain't right. Mosley is looking at himself as
a big time player and of course he is great in his own right but right
now his star power and value ain't upthere with guys like Pac/PBF.
He is on the waiting list. If Mosley checked his ego at the door
and offered Floyd about 10/11MIL and took the smaller cut then
the fight probably would have been made. All in all I can't accept
that Floyd is ducking Mosley considering that he wanted to fight a
prime Mosley at his best, **** don't add up.

Prior to Holyfield's first fight with Bowe, there was this notion that Evander was more flash than substance, and even in a losing effort to Bowe, he began his own legend and won over all his critics that night, especially in that 10th round, even in losing you can still win.

My point is Floyd must be show a willingness to test himself that goes beyond just dollars and cents, when you possess that much talent, then you must inspire people with that talent. Talking about how talented you are is off putting, but testing that talent in the inferno and walking out to live and tell people about it, is the stuff legends are made of.

Fans must stop acting/talking like millionaires when they are not. You are fans not promoters! What do you care about money and who makes what? Who is a draw and who isn't? Stop drinking the cool-aid. You should want to see the best locking horns with the best, period end of story.

Again with this.......Floyd wanted Shane when Shane was on
top of his game, why would he need to wait for Shane to get
older? I think some are not looking at the big picture. Floyd
chased De La Hoya and Mosley to 147? Mosley didn't want it
so Floyd got the De La Hoya fight, how come nobody sees any
                of this.

It was a completely different market when Mayweather fought Baldomir. Mayweather has to understand micro/macro economics and how that impacts what he earns, after all we are in a recession. It effects the revenue that the casinos bring in, which in turn ups the price on site-fees and guarantees. Either way I like the fact that your posts are never attacking and respectful of differing opinions.

He probably didnt think Mayweather was a draw, he thought he wouldnt be big and bring money, now he realized he made a mistake and is willing to make up for it, but not 100% sure, but u do got a good point though.

Floyd wanted Mosley for years.,...Shane jumped two divisions to duck him.

Then Shane had a toothache and ducked him again,

Now all of sudden..Shane has balls of steel.

                      Oh p[lease

                      Get it line Shane.

                      Its JMM...Pac in october....then you....then Cotto
