the fact is that none of these fighters was even near to hurt Tyson, he took one uppercut from Tucker in the first round but that was it. He was never shaken or cut in any of these fights. Smith, Tucker and Green was running and holding. Remember that Green is a fighter who has never been klnocked down in hes career.

Just think about Lewis who struggeled so hard against Mercer, Bruno, Holyfield(especially in the rematch) Tucker, McCall and Rahman. Those gouys were all landi9ng punches against him...and Tyson was by fare a much heavier puncher then all those fighters.

Tyson in hes prime was a fighter that could throw 5-6-7 punches in a row. After he came out of prison you never saw that again. i think that is a key factor.

    Tyson by KO
    Exactly.

The only time i think Tyson was ever cut was against Evander "Headbutt Frenzy" Holyfield, where he ended up having Gashes in both eyes in the first bout, and a huge gash in the second bout.

Tyson always faced taller opponents, so facing Lewis is hardly new

        Lewis.

Since everyone thinks Tyson was invincible and Roy Jones was Invincible.

Who would win that at heavyweight or catch weight prime for prime?

Kelly wasn't beaten before he entered the ring. Spinks put up a shambolic performance. In the end you could sense he wasn't too bothered about being beaten because consciously or subconsciously he'd already accepted it.

I mean, Larry Holmes put up a bit of a performance. Probably because he was experienced enough and smart enough to see through the Tyson hype machine. Unfortunately he no longer possessed the tools to finish the job. Prime Holmes would have put Mike to sleep.

I don't know about putting Tyson to sleep but I believe a prime Holmes wins a comfortable decision.

Hamed isn't anywhere near Mike Tysons status. I don't even think Hamed made the HOF.

Prime Holmes would not have put him to sleep. It's 50/50 fight. I used to pick Holmes over him by decision but realized that Holmes has no tools that are geared towards defeating a Mike Tyson style fighter. Frazier would have beat him to.

If Holmes did win, it would be because of the heart he possesses. Holmes was not "past it" enough to claim the sole reason why he was stopped. He wasn't at his best, but not shot. It get's exaggerated. Holmes only loss was close decisions to Spinks, who apparently to some is a blown up cruiserweight.

Sort of like Calzaghe vs Hopkins, we don't really know (although I'd lean towards B-Hop.)

Keep in mind, I'm not rating him higher than Holmes, I just don't see the tools Holmes had that would guarantee a sure win over Tyson. A UD is not unreasonable, a KO is for dreamers.

Teddy Atlas may not be the best person to ask for predictions because he loves to pick the underdog, but I remember hearing him discuss the Holmes fight on Ringside-Tyson, and maybe I'm reading to much into it, but it seemed Teddy thought it wouldn't have mattered if Holmes was in his prime or not and he based it off of what Cus said and style matchups.
