baldo was the lineal champ..thats why floyd fought him...before the judah fight brian kenny acted like he was ducking baldo..then he fought oscar who was a bigger threat and a bigger money fight and at a higher weight class than cotto,margo,mosley..at the time mosley had no belt, cotto had just picked up yet another vacant belt..and margo had the wbo belt but had he beaten???id go for the lineal champ and oscar as well

Manny just does what he's told. If people can't appreciate this in today's world of boxing then really you have no knowledge on the history of the sport & will never be satisfied with anything any fighter does.
When has catchweight Manny ever fought somebody that outweighed him by 10-15lbs????????????????

Mayweather has...but little Manny don't have those skills.

He cherrypicked the sorriest mofo at 135 and Floyd's leftovers.

The Manny hype will end soon as he steps in the ring w/Mayweather..then bitches like you can commit mass suicide.

Take it 1 step further and see that he's 36 and that he was getting owned by Diaz before the cut. Floyd picked a the smallest cherry on the tree. Atleast Manny is picking on bigger cherries. If you hate on Manny for fighting 4 fights in 4 diff weight classes, then I really really hope you hate floyd for playing hide & seek.
Before Floyd came some people were slanging him and saying he would lose to Manny.Meanwhile both Manny and Hatton wanted to fighting Marquez after winning their battle of East and West. The reason Mayweather fought Marquez was to take Marquez out of the equation so that noone would claim they would fight Marquez.

You will remember that Ricky Hatton used to call Mayweather everytime. Now when the time was drawing nigh he started saying he wouldnt fight Mayweather in 2009 but in 2010.

This is the only reason Floyd is fighting Marquez and that's why the fight was announced before Hatton fought Manny.
What I do not understand is it is ok for Hatton and Manny to fight Floyd,it is ok for Hatton and Manny to fight Marquez but it is wrong for Floyd to fight Marquez? It was ok for Floyd to fight Oscar at 154 but Marquez is too small.Wasnt Floyd too small for Oscar at 154?

I'll give him the lineal title, but Baldomir was cinderella man nothing more. So 9 losses for Baldo but because he's the lineal champ its ok to fight him. So on his comeback he says he wont fight shane because he has 5 losses? yet he fights marquez with 4 losses whos 2 divisions lighter? mosley is the lineal ww champ now isn't he? I'm sorry but his contradictions have been exposed over & over & over again. Floyd is high reward vs. low risk since moving up to 140. If you don't see that you're just a hugger, and you are apparently on this forum notorious for that.

David Diaz is the sorriest mofo at 135.

You can't slam Floyd and let Catchweight Manny off the hook.

Again Marquez is unproven above 135!!! Atleast Hatton & Manny have both fought above the weight and been successful. How hard is that to understand? Marquez is also going to be 36 years old!

Floyd was to small for oscar at 154, the same way manny was for oscar at 147 I agree. The difference is floyd hasn't fought the top welters, guys who have been top 10 lb 4 lb for sometime now. There's no dis*****g that & that warrants criticism, which is why he gets it. The worst part is he contradcits himself everytime he speaks its disgustung. Atleast be consistent, or just fight these guys already and shut em up how hard is that?

well make fighters come up in weight is certainly more fair than making em come down and drain themselves. If you go up, you can train more and focus more on technique and streinght than weight.

Manny didnt come up sluggish at 147 against Oscar. Otherwise imagine Cotto doing 140...he would come DEAD to the fight. If you move up a bit, you still a healthy fighter. You go down, you just arent.

Manny has never fought somebody that outweighed him by 15lbs..

He doesn't have the skills to do so..that's why Freddy has to..in his own words "protect his fighter"

I'd rather have said no mas and earned my respect back the way duran did, then get riducled the way floyd has been now. if youre even comparing duran to floyd...well i wont waste anymore time replying to that, youre alone.

Tony was the tougher fight, period. Poll it. Baldomir came from nowhere, we all know that.

Manny doesn't get credit from me for his 135 work, but nor does floyd at 140. Manny > Floyd resume at the end of the day and thats all that matters.
