Read the "missed opportunity" paragraph in that article near the bottom. JMM even admits Hamed did offer him a fight in 2000, proposed for the night he ended up fighting Augie Sanchez(and after he faught Bungu as i stated before). JMM chose not to fight though claiming he had a hand injury.

If im not mistaken it was almost a done deal i forgot what year but i remember it being in ring magazine they had a big story on it. I actually think Hamed would have won at that point in time.

i think juanma could have decisioned naseem like barrera did but hamed would have had a punchers chance.

I bet JMM was glad he missed the fight when he saw Augie get smashed and carried out on a stretcher.

Anyne who thinks prime Naz doesn't give JMM or Pac serious problems is a ****** and needs to watch some of his fights again. If Naz hit Pac with a clean shot he wouldn't have gotten up for a week, he was a harder puncher and had a better chin.

I think Naz would knock out the Pacquiao that was at featherweight/super feather. Pac wasnt as roundly skilled as he is today, he'd walk forward into a huge counter from Naz and it'd be over.

JMM is different cos he was a counter puncher himself. Barrera confused Naz by counter-punching and Naz wasnt anywhere near as effective having to lead and got picked off by MAB
