Yes but Hopkins went up and beat two elite fighters Calzone had yet to venture above 168.

Lets be honest Hopkins is huge and definitely bigger than calzone.

Listen i dont wanna dog Floyd because he is a superb fighter one of the best of his generation. I do however question as to how much he wants to test himself.

There is nothing better than seeing a fighter that is undefeated lose. Especially when you do not see it coming. When shane, roy, P.williams, lost I was shocked and amazed.

but they got to lose legitimately. When oscar lost to tito I was not satisfied. When Roy lost to Montel Griffin I was not satisfied. Not until shane and tarver respectively came and beat both of this guys was I satisfied.

My favorite part of seeing an undefeated fighter lose is seeing them rebound from that loss. Are they same fighter? Did the loss make them better or worse?
The thing is, losing usually happens to pretty much everyone.

          99% of guys

I can't take you seriously after that statement. It was so hard for Cotto to get down to 140 he said HIMSELF he spent the VAST majority of his training just trying to get down to weight. He was killing himself getting to 140.

Its not about seeing him lose, its about seeing him fight opponents that are worthy, Cotto Shane or even margarito. Instead he takes on Hatton and DLH and smaller Marquez.
what makes these fighter more worthy then oscar, hatton, or marquez

is it the fact that thewy are easy to discredit.

mosley too old, cotto too small, margarito too slow.

if you haven't given floyd credit for beating guys much larger then himself then why would we think you would start now.

Yeah, Lalonde wasn't the best, sure. Neither was some of the welters Floyd fought, but my point is Leonard took on stiffer challenges.

Floyd still has a chance to do that. He's only 30 now.
Leonard's offensive arsenal, handspeed, power, combinations, ring smarts, he had it all and I dont know any fighter who really has had what he has to the point he had it. I dont see Floyd with the same exact gifts. Resume wise, hmm. Maybe not, Castillo is Floyd's Duran Id imagine, even thought Duran went up to fight Leonard, was Castillo as good as Duran, no but you gotta start somewhere.

Speed and ring smarts are very similiar.

Aboslutely they are different fighters for sure, style wise.
