If floyd is a ***** for fighting marquez, than hopkins is a ***** for fighting......

    well pick one:
    Pavlik
    Trinidad
    De La Hoya

People move up to fight hopkins all the time, and i see noone taking anything away from him. So how in hell is it okay for hopkins, but a crime for mayweather?

BTW marquez is moving up 9 lbs. Dont make it seem worse than it is by wording it differently (2 WHOLE divisions) Pavlik moved up 10 lbs to face hopkins, Mayweather moved up 7 lbs to face de la hoya, and haye is movin up a hell of alot to face klitchko, so plz ppl, stop bitchin

Truth be told, I don't think Mayweather is a ***** for fighting JMM. I do think JMM is too small though and doesn't have much of a chance with Mayweather.

I cannot blaim a fighter for taking a fight that will bring him revenue. People bashed DLH for taking certian fights but the bottom line in boxing is it's a business.

I just don't think this fight will be much of a contest because JMM is already stretched to his top weight he can really go and Mayweather will take advantage of this.

You do realize Bhop was an underdog against Pavlik and Felix right? And DLH had only moved up from 154 and had already won a belt, although very dubiously. There ain't no defendin Mr boat buyer on this ****, but to each his own homey.

underdog or not, he still was much bigger than both....... Most ppl wrote hopkins off based on his age. Hopkins destroyed them both, showing that both fights were mismatches. The only difference btwn those fights, and this fight, is that this mismatch is known beforehand.......

edit: and fyi marquez is much better than pavlik and triniad p4p

Pavlik had previously fought at 170.
Trinidad and DLH were both 160 title holders.

JMM's highest weight division is 135, 2 divisions below the fight weight (The limit for the fight is not 147, incase anyone hadn't heard, so it's a WW fight). So, no, it's not the same...
