Marquez didn't want to fight Mayweather at 147, but thought it was his only chance to get another shot at Pac. But he won't be trying to get fights with Cotto or Mosley at 147, he's only taking this fight because he thinks it's a path to Pac. It's not comparable with the scenario with Pac and Cotto. Pac doesn't need the Cotto fight as a path to anything, and both Pac and Roach have said they would rather Pac fought Mayweather rather than Cotto.

Cotto cant make weight. And Cotto has a better chance to beat Mayweather than Manny. Manny would also have much more trouble with Cotto than Mayweather. Look at the strength difference and Mayweathers lack of activity.

Cotto doesn't have to fight at a weight that he's uncomfortable with. No one's forcing him to do it, and he's said he won't do it. So I don't see the problem.
