Was interesting that Phil Jackson says Wlad hits harder than Lewis with both hands. And Austin (a better fighter than Barrett) is a cautionary tale for Haye.

Can't wait to see how he reacts to the pressure this time. I hope his clear dislike fro Haye makes him settle down a bit and fight offensively like he did when he was younger. He's so terrified of getting tapped on the chin I doubt that will happen but it would be nice to see and it would also be a good thing for the whole division

Lewis also fought a PRIME Mercer while Wlad got him at the end of his career.

His career is over. Holyfield still fights but his career is over.

Mercer was past his best when he fought Wlad, but was still good and I doubt if his chin had changed much since the Lewis fight. He had won seven straight since the controversial loss to Lennox.

All I know is, that despite Klitschko's speed and power, he's never knocked out an opponent like Lewis vs Rahman II. Klitschko punches hard, but Lewis was more devastating IMO. Klitschko needs to start coming out firing, if he wants his fights to be watchable.
I really think it has to do with his style and the way he throws his punches so economically. He does rely on speed more then Lewis, who was actually more of a brawler then him. When Lewis threw that right hand, he went with his whole weight in it transfering his weight into the left foot and going with that like a wrecking ball under that parabolic angle. Reminded me of some Robinson's knockouts.
Wlad on the other hand throws his punches very textbook-like, always on perfect angles and with perfect balance, which kinda takes away from his power, since he does not put his weight into them as much as lewis did. But he is very fast with these punches and that balance keeps him safer.
You got to keep in mind is that Wlad also averages something like 50 punches per round, which is quite high for a heavy.

                  How old is Mercer now?
How old was he when he fought Lewis?

Sam Peter, Lennox Lewis, Danny Williams and Kirk Johnson all weighed more than Vitali. Should Vitali have forced them to fight him at a catchweight?

Thompson, Wolfgramme, Jefferson, Purrity (25 pounds heavier) and at least ten more of Wladimir's opponents weighed more than he did.

You once said age doesn't determine whether a fighter is shot, when I said Eubank was only 31 when Calzaghe beat him, while Joe defeated Kessler at age 35.

Be fair to a European fighter for once. Mercer was past his best, but still good when Wladimir stopped him. Evidence of that is Mercer years later still being able to defeat fairly decent, much younger heavyweight, Richel Hersisia "The Dutch Sonny Liston".
