      MP team are frauds

MP and his team always try and win the fight before MP even gets in the ring... they did it with EM by making him fight weight drained - now they're trying to do the same to Cotto. If you "CALL" somebody out you should fight them at their weight. MP team is a pick and choose or bring them in weight drained or old. the only reason they fought Hatton is because he's a slightly bigger dumb version of David Diaz - and Mayweather's leftovers. JMM keeps out-doing MP by consistently fighting the better competition... yet again

Get real this is not boxing. This is just as I stated before. Floyd didn't tell Oscar to fight him at a catch weight of 154. He let Oscar come in at his weight and still beat him. That is a real fighter and champion. Manny is just some bogus fighter that top rank has marketed to fool the the filipino audience who has never had any champions that meant anything. Watch if Floyd annihilates JMM Manny will not fight Floyd. Do you guys hate Floyd that much that when Floyd beat Oscar and Hatton u guys didn't give him any credit but when Manny beats the same guys you make him out to be the greatest since Joe Louis
First of all, it ain't Manny thats wants to fight these guys, the media after the De La Hoya defeat asked or wrote articles about a possible fight with SSM AND COTTO. Now as far as catchweight, Freddie just cares about his fighter and wants to protect him. That fight with De La Hoya was to get the most money before he retires. Now your calling MANNY BOGUS, obviously all your fighters that you chose to beat him have proven you wrong. And if you know about anything about boxing, we have had champions that meant alot such as PANCHO VILLA , FLASH ELORDE. Not just filipinos, but asian boxers where not properly marketed in the past such as the mexicans and the blacks. Now that PACQUIAO has kicked the door open your gonna here more about filipino boxers..Just to name a few, so you might wanna write this down before you make more ignorant comments...DONAIRE, VILORIA, CONCEPCION, BANAL, MELINDO, FRANCISCO, PAGARA...About the Oscar and Hatton defeat..Mayweather got credit, but the way PACQUIAO manhandled both just overshadows Mayweather's win against those guys, thats the reason why MAYWEATHER unretired. Any boxing fans and experts would agree that MAYWEATHER came back because PACQUIAO overshadowed his accomplishment..undefeated or former p4p..his fights where not as exciting as PACQUIAO'S was.

I like it how the article makes it sound like Cotto wants to fight Manny. The fight was suggested by Arum. Cotto never calls anyone out. His quote was probably just taken out of context along the lines of "IF you were to fight Pacyaow, would you agree to a catch weight?" Cotto should not have agreed to a catch weight yet because that sets the bar from which to negotiate and it will not go higher but lower.

this would be a big fight for either fighter. paquiaou had no problems making weight for de la hoya. a win for pac over cotto could cement his legacy. a win for cotto over pac and veryone will say he was picking on a small fighter.

The problem in boxing nowadays is that everyone thinks that the match starts only when the bell rings. People forget that the fight begins During contract signing, goes o to the training regimen, diet, lifestyle and even the marketing of the fight. Excellence in these areas, coupled with wonderful execution on top of the ring will bring about a great champion.

For example, when dela Hoya signed up to fight Pac at 147, the deal was to fight @ the weight of 147. The contract is simple: "Who'd win @ 147?" No matter which area a fighter falls short on like "Weight Issues", "Training Issues", "discipline", "Gets K.O.'d with a lucky punch while he's ahead at the scorecards", etc. it all boils down to one thing. He falls short, he loses.

This possible match against Cotto is about to start. Wether or not Cotto will agree to fight Pac at 142 or 144, will be his decision, and should not be blamed in case he gets weight drained and loses the fight. He has to know what he's going into and has to take full responsibility. He accepted the fight @ those terms, he falls short, he loses.

As for Pac, the man knows his limits and takes full responsibility of the results of his actions. He may have had some serious promotional mistakes when he signed for GBP and TR previously, but he took responsibility and sorted it out. People can all say that he tries to win fights before fight-night, but be reminded, that's when the fight really starts.

If it's for Cotto's title, then why shouldn't it be at 147? They could both come in below 147, but it has to be by choice and not forced or contracted upon one of them. A weightdrained fighter has much more of a disadvantage than an fighter who's coming in over the weight limit. Medically, it is more dangerous to fight dehydrated than bloated.

After the punishment he absorbed in the Margarito fight, Cotto is ****** to take this fight below 147. This could really be dangerous. We know what Manny's power can do at 140 and I'm sure a few more pounds won't hurt him. Unfortunately, it might hurt Cotto.
