Seriously now, I always support technical fighters, the sport needs more of them, not these rocky clones that smack each other in the head for a bag of chips.
But if floyd weighs in at 147 against Marquez, seriously now, some of his fans have got to re consider his position in boxing, not skills wise, but legacy wise.
Marquez barley got by Juan Diaz at 135, and now 2 full weight classes up against the best boxer in the sport?
F.uck outta here.
Who cares about this fight. At this weight it's a mis-match tune up fight. Let him get his tune up if he wants.
I don't think this fight means he's better than JMM anyway, JMM is getting up there in age.Comment

Well he already signed, then the rules were changed and he couldnt back out.
That what it could be.
I mean, Mayweather is my favorite fighter, nobody touches him skillswise right now, but f.uckin el, there comes a point where even we have to say that this kind of **** is getting tiring.
I agree man Floyd is my fav fighter and I often defend him at times but this is ******edComment

I'm saying it is a tune-up, btw. This guy here is saying it isn't,
A PPV "tune up" fight with a 24/7? Are you seriously that delusional?
So you're saying that Mayweather and you guys, his fans aren't going to tout this victory as a victory that will add to his legacy?
Just be real about it. This is a straight up, cherry picked fight. Call it like it is and stop ***** footing for Floyd.
No, I won't credit it as adding that much to his legacy, all told. I can't speak for whoever "you guys" is, since, unlike you, I don't obsessively concern myself with a categorical mass whom I claim to be above yet somehow can't stop involving myself in pathetic pseudo-debate with.
Shut the fuck up and be real yourself. Your agenda has been laid transparently bare, a million times. Every comment you will ever make will be influenced by your deep, burning need to score points in a worthless "fans" vs. "haters/anti-fans" war.
Your self-regarding opinion means ****, jackoff. Your hysterical, whining ass doesn't tell me to do anything.Comment

And 2501,
many of those with no allegiance to Mayweather Jr. whatsoever are referring to the Marquez fight as a tune-up for Floyd.
Sorry, guy. You're a fucking idiot.Comment

Its all about 2 things for me.
1) The legitmacy of this article.
2) The weigh in, even if the fight was at 147, if floyd weighed in at 143-144, then all is forgiven.
If not, its not looking good, he's making some dumb choices, he's clearly in another league to pacquiao skills wise, but he's gonna lose his legacy place because of his matchmaking.Comment
