Barely got by? He knocked him out, you realize Diaz had never been knocked out? Probably never been down, you realize Casamayor had never been knocked out? Looks to me that JMM has been draining himself all these years and should have been moved up the way he's been knocking out bigger fighters. This is getting tired, did you complain when Floyd fought Oscar, a man much bigger, surely you didnt.

This is a strategic move by the Mayweathers. Floyd will sharpen his tools by fighting Marquez the master at a weight where the odds are in Floyd's favor. This way Floyd can get in there and get lose a lil bit and get his head back in the game.
After that if he wins he has no choice but to fight Shane/Pac at whatever weight the fight can be made.Comment

Floyd probably figures if he can beat Marquez without having to rely on power he'll be ready for the sluggers.Comment

Seriously now, I always support technical fighters, the sport needs more of them, not these rocky clones that smack each other in the head for a bag of chips.
But if floyd weighs in at 147 against Marquez, seriously now, some of his fans have got to re consider his position in boxing, not skills wise, but legacy wise.
Marquez barley got by Juan Diaz at 135, and now 2 full weight classes up against the best boxer in the sport?
F.uck outta here.Comment
