Barely got by? He knocked him out, you realize Diaz had never been knocked out? Probably never been down, you realize Casamayor had never been knocked out? Looks to me that JMM has been draining himself all these years and should have been moved up the way he's been knocking out bigger fighters. This is a strategic move by the Mayweathers. Floyd will sharpen his tools by fighting Marquez the master at a weight where the odds are in Floyd's favor. This way Floyd can get in there and get lose a lil bit and get his head back in the game.

After that if he wins he has no choice but to fight Shane/Pac at whatever weight the fight can be made.

he barely got by juan diaz!!! last i saw he was knocking juan diaz the **** out in the 9th. and dude hbo was really biased by the way they were watching the fight, just watch when marquez lands the clean shots, they either wait for diaz to swing to get a response or they stay quiet, go ahead and check, i saw a completely different fight than what hbo and the diaz fans saw. i saw diaz doing all he can to only get outlanded with much cleaner shots from marquez.

Its real simple mate who cares what they can dehydrate too , if Floyd is 147ish on the night of the fight and JMM 135ish I will agree with you 110% , but if Floyd is 147ish and JMM is 144ish on the night I will say your a goose like these others in here that dont understand weight .

Most of us only could only hope, but who here actually believes Marquez will not struggle at 147? His chances were bad before now their just a hell alot worse. Too much weight, he isn't used to this weight class and his first fight at 147 is against highly skilled Mayweather... Insane... If Marquez did pull off the upset which is nearly impossible, then he would be considered one of the best fighters ever personally in my opinion. Just because the style match up favors Floyd in the first place, and the weight is ridiculous. People don't realize not everyone is a Manny Pacquiao. Theirs a huge difference winning big fights at 130-135, then to make a giant leap to 147...
