Williams and Dawson are in the same boat, they have to start taking risk to force boxing to take notice of their talent since they dont have a built in fan base,

I think if Williams could take 6 months starting right now and dedicate himself to a weight program maybe he could pulled a mosely and get some $1000 vitamins he could build his strength and weight up he could dominate the MW and SMW division. The only thing lacking in his game is Power...If he had Power he would be unstoppable and a better version on Tommy HItman Herns because unlike Hearns Williams has Stamina even Steward made this coment...

Dawson Just needs to make a decision either moved down or Moved up or be like Joe Calzaghe and dominate a ****ty division for 10+ years until fighters come into your division..like (Paul Williams)

Yes power but you really can't tell he fought Winky who is Iron jawed and never been knocked out? Also when you throw as many punches as Williams does you don' tend to sit down on your punches like you should. You are content with throw in volume rather than throwing hard punches. He can pop when he sits down on his punches. He has socred a few knock outs early on no? Just at 168 we haven't seen him yet and do not know if he carries the power to that weight class. Still punishment absobd over the fight may get him a fe stoppages anyway and may even force a few fighters to quit on their stools.

Dawson in my mind will move down to SMW. CW has who Adamek whom he already beat? SMW posses more $$$ in his pocket if he can make weight. I think he can if he wishes to do so. I also do not think it is worth his while unless he fights for a belt in his first fight. If that first fight is against P Will than in my mind P Will needs to aquire a belt first. I see him trying his luck against Froch and Froch would be bold enough to take the challenge. He might fight one fight before Froch as a tune in or up however you want to look at it against a lesser opponent to gauge his skills at SMW before he jumps in deep waters....Lefty

I wouldnt have a problem with it because most of them either arent that skilled, are raw, are smaller guys who moved up, or are just good but not great. I would favor him against all of them

How many of you would have a problem with Carl Froch, Andre Ward,Jermain Taylor, or Mikkel Kessler fighting Paul Williams at supermiddle weight even though he just called them out?

I would like to see him fight Andre Ward...good test against a "legit" SMW, good test for both actually. Froch, Taylor and Kessler would hurt PW bad...actually....put PW in there against El Pantera...he's a good stepping stone.

At this point I think WIlliams needs Dawson more then Dawson needs Williams. Williams has belts and to most is the man to beat at LHW. Dawson could fight Johnson again if he wanted too or take out Froch go up in weight and have a rematch with Adamek. There is other fighters at 168 that would probably jump in the ring with Dawson before the would Williams. So to me Williams needs him more.

That being said if Williams took out Froch or one of the other Champions at 168 he would be very appetitizing for Dawson to come down and meet him in the ring. I truly think Williams needs a belt at 160-168 to ligitamize himself there for anyone of the other big boys to take him seriously....Lefty
