Going by their opposition since they last met: Pacquiao over Diaz, paper champ at 135. Marquez over Casamayor, lineal champ at 135 who had never been knocked out before. Advantage: Marquez. Pacquiao over DLH, who had not fought at 147 since 2001 and was weight drained, not to mention six years older and way past his prime. Marquez over Juan Diaz, who had only one loss, had never been knocked out before, and has fought between lightweight and light welter his whole career. He was also 10 yrs younger than JMM. Advantage: Marquez. Pacquiao over Hatton, who has never reached near the top 3 p4p. If Marquez were to beat Mayweather, he will beat the former lb 4 lb champ. That would put Marquez ahead of Pacquiao.

Hatton was rated P4P #8 at the time he fought Pac, and was rated P4P #4 just after he beat Tzsyu. He was a lineal champ for nearly four years. Juan Diaz has never been rated in the P4P top 10 and has never been a lineal champ. I could sit here and argue that Mayweather beat the Ring Magazine champions at 130 (Corrales), 135 (Castille), 140 (Hatton), 147 (Baldomir and the number 2 in Zab Judah) and 154 (De La Hoya).

You could, but it wouldn't be true. He fought Hatton at 147, not at 140; and De La Hoya wasn't The Ring champion when they fought. The Ring title was vacant and De La Hoya was only ranked #3 by The Ring at the time, behind Cory Spinks and Roman Karmazin.

You're funny. How does beating someone who is not a P4P fighter and not a lineal champ rank higher than beating someone who is ranked P4P #8, who has been a lineal champ for nearly four years, and whose only previous defeat was against the P4P #1 and in a higher weight class?

As for your "hater" comment, I'm a huge Marquez fan, so to call me a hater just because I like other boxers as well as him, and am interested in facts, and in being objective, shows you up as an extreme worshipper who lacks any objectivity. elwills' posts were objective, and I was really only pulling him up because he underrated Hatton's record (which he's since accepted): his main points were valid.
