Especially that early in a career. Thompson was accustomed to taking beatings and coming back. Haye was just accustomed to giving beatings.
    Yes.

It is like putting Julio Cesar Chavez in there with Zab Judah. Skill wont mean **** when he is walking you down and ****ing the **** out of you. Especially when you have a glass heart and questionable chin(Judah)

No shame in losing to Thompson, 40 or not the man was a hell of a fighter and one of most underrated fighters in the last 20 years - His first fight with Eubank is total classic. Shame he made Tyson look like Mark Twain when he talked

"Haye lost to a blown-up LHW" - Oh really? A guy who had spent 13 years and most of his career at CW is a "blown-up" LHW? BULL. FUCKING. ****. :laff2:

And those who say Haye is glass-chinned solely on the basis of this fight and a few others are truly delusional. That's like saying JMM has a china chin because he's been down multiple times at 130, or that Calzaghe has no beard because he was down at 168-175. It's a ridiculous statement to make. In every weight class you can go down from a good shot.

I agree, nothing wrong with Haye's chin at all.

And certainly nothing wrong with losing to a game and notorious Thompson early in his career. The guy was a multiple CW champ and sent Eubank into retirement.

It's not like people constantly rag on Pacquiao for getting KTFO twice in his early career. Besides, Haye gassed out and got stopped - he wasn't KTFO. There is a difference.

Calzaghe clearly had an iron chin to but was knocked down alot.
