Some fighters can dehydrate more then others so this is not the true weight of the fighters.
A small amount of fighters don't like to go through the process at all.

Registered/Official weight is just the dehydrated weight for most fighters.
Used as an advantage to squeeze into a lower official weight class.

most fighter can't actually perform/fight at the registered/official weight 30hrs before the fight..

this is just to show up to (register) make the fight official.

the true/important/real weight of a fighter is there optimum performing weight, as the fighter has to be at his best when stepping in the ring.

I understand that the registered/official weight is what the general boxing community like to focus on, but intellects of the boxing community look at the fight night weight (optimum performing weight).

This is what trainers and advisers look at when they are matching up there fighters next opponent.
basically you're saying that floyd can't make 138 lbs.

if true, then floyd/pac has to be at a catchweight.

How about just having them fight at their fight-time weight.

So, if accurate, that neither fighter goes above 150 by fight time, say with Pac's 148 (against Hatton) and Floyd's 149 (or less)...it's about even and no need to drain for the scales.

Basically, put a cap on the fight-night weight and make it an official/accurate weigh-in 1 hour before the fight.

benny, I know you have an agenda, but that's not how boxing works right now. until you change boxing for the better, when talking on NSB please work with the framework that everybody is going with. thanx.

There's no way mosley goes down that much. Cotto should fight at 145. For me it's a no go for both Cotto and Mosley, no deal. **** roach and his ridiculous demands.

              2) pac officially weighed 138 lbs against hatton just a few weeks ago. when was the last time cotto/mosley officially weighed 138 lbs???

              6) pac officially weighed 142 lbs against dlh. when was the last time cotto/mosley officially weighed 142 lbs???

              5) Cotto and Mosley are MWs on fight night and Pac is a WW on fight night. IS THAT FAIR???

              4) unless cotto agrees to 142, this fight shouldn't even be discussed. Get down to 142 lbs or GTFO and fight mosley

Then Pac shouldn't be fighting the likes of Cotto and Mosley end of. These guys are to big for him in weight, if Mosley and Cotto go down it's unfair & if Pac goes UP it's unfair. It's just a no go for all fighters, forget it.
