Yeah, Ward would have been deducted a **** load of points for holding so much. But this is boxing, we never get fair refs. **** looked like a wrestling match.

damn, i think u guys r b'n alil hard on ward.
dont get me wrong, he wasnt outstanding, but he got the job done. many didnt even think he could do that. and as stated b4, @least he admitts he wasnt happy with his performance; and that alone says a lot.
i think he definitly should have knocked miranda out. miranda looked lyk deer staring in2 headlights the majority of the fight. i dont understand, was he ****n posing for a 'fight night' cover, or trying to count wards ****n pores!
        dude looked shot
take the PR flag off ur shorts now
and learn how to move ur hands in the direction of the other fighter in the ring with ur fists balled, in an attempt to connect.

but all in all, i think ward did 'good'. better than i thought he would, even though miranda looked shot.

Nothing against you or Haye but I dig the type-o. "exiting heavyweight."

a lot spectators dont respect the sport of " boxing " no more and that's the problem. The name of the game is to get hit without getting hit. Dre did an outstanding job working on the outside and tying up when needed to.

More respect is gained when fighters don't fight by clinching and making a bore-fest. I guess not every boxer can be a Manny Pacquiao, Corrales, Castillo, Tyson, Gamboa.

I just think all this ranging on Ward for "holding" is excessive.

He was using clinches when it was appropriate and he broke away when the ref stepped in to pull them apart.

Miranda did his share of clinching as well. Though not as much because Ward was a moving target most of the time.

A good solid performance by Ward, he took his first step up in class and I think won a pretty decisive decision. It was nothing breathtaking by no means, but still a good win over a very dangerous fighter. Who came to win and give it his all.

Ward should now go on to fight in a World Title elimination bout or even a World Title fight. Do I don't know whether he could beat any of the best in the division, as this point. Do I do feel he could have a good chance at beating the current WBO Champion Karoly Balzsay.

As for Miranda, He proably will be very dissapointed at the result, but he put up a decent fight. I dout he will ever be World Champion, but never say never and I still think there are some interesting fights out there for him.

Miranda..... if you really want to win.... here are a few needs you need to learn...... how to throw a left hook.... punch to the body..... a bit of inside work would not hurt...... how to step back to create space.... you know, little things like that!!!!! RETIRE and take that Puerto Rican flag out of your pants......!!!!!
I know, he only has a right hook
