The difference was the Floyd wasn't as easy to catch as Pacman, and Floyd knocked him out first so Manny was dealing with damaged goods. I can't wait for Pacman's remains to be splattered across the ring and taken back to the Phillipines in suitcases! Never before have I seen a bigger hypejob since Amir Khan. Henry Armstrong my arse! If he took an all comers he wouldn't have been so **** scared of a marquez rematch that he had to wait a few years, and then we never saw a trilogy when it finally did happen coz Arum had a log in his undies
Just re-watched Floyd vs. Hatton '07, all I gotta say is...

Good assessment and I'm glad you didn't namecall or badmouth Floyd like the PacHuggers/FloydHaters. I'd give you green k but I have none :/Some may argue Pacquiao got the watered down version of Hatton.
However...I've been watching this sport for a long time. And I've had discussions with others that have been observers of this sport for 20 or 30 years and I think that this fight is more evenly matched than many believe.
Mayweather just doesn't throw enough punches nowadays and I truly think he'll have trouble dealing with Pacquiaos work rate, speed and awkwardness.
You don't beat this version of Pacquiao without a high work rate, steel chin or ugly clutching defense (one or two punches and clutch).
Marquez has had some success but took chances in order to land, Mayweather isn't that type of guy. He will most likely employ the latter (one or two punces and clutch).
Judah gave him problems in their fight but couldn't keep up the pressure and faded midway through the fight. Pacquaio won't have that problem.
Eventually Mayweather will be forced to stand and fight and we all know what happens when Pacquiao goes toe to toe with guys.
I like Pacquaio to win this fight by KO or TKO if it ends up getting made.Comment

Any fighter can break down another fighters work rate. Mosley did against Margarito and so did B-hop against Calzaghe. Some may argue Pacquiao got the watered down version of Hatton.

Mayweather can most likely do the same.Last edited by Sox8055; 05-15-2009, 11:54 PM.Comment

I don't believe that. c'mon man, don't be a sore mayweather fan. pac's punches were more deadly than any of the punches floyd threw in their fight especially the last punch. I don't think floyd could land a punch as sick as the last punch pac threw. no way.Comment
