rosenthal states from the very beginning that his definition of great is not the same as yours.

floyd stans definition of great = great technical skills + undefeated record

rosenthal's defintion of great = technicial + warrior + risks

you should not be so offended

Exactly...we'll see what they have to say once Mayweather gives the Pacman a boxing clinic in the ring.

Look at this quote made by a 'boxing historian',

“Let’s just look at the two fights against Hatton,” said Mike Silver, an historian and author of The Arc of Boxing. “Mayweather calls Hatton ‘the toughest fighter I ever faced’ and Pacquiao utterly destroyed him. C’mon, if Mayweather has the skills he professes to have, he should’ve dominated a club fighter like Hatton.

This is one of ths ******est things ive read in my life. So because Pac ko'd Hatton in 2 rounds, and because it took Floyd 10, that makes Pac a greater fighter than Floyd?

          WTF???????????????????????????????????????

So these so called boxing historians must have forgotten how hard it is for fighters to come back from a knockout defeat. Floyd inflicted Hatton his first loss and first KO. If Floyd beat Hatton by decision, then there could be an argument, but Floyd TKO'd him!

These writers are so negetive towards Floyd, no wonder he says he doesnt read **** thats written about him.

I mean the reason Michael Rosenthal gave for Floyd being 2nd to Manny was that Manny fought the best fighters, in reference to Oscar and Hatton.

Then i ask myself, what was a harder fight Pac vs Oscar at 147 where Oscar looked like someone close to his death bed, or Oscar-Mayweather at 154?

People shouldnt forget, Floyd already beat Oscar and ko'd Hatton before Pac did.

And this ent a hate thread on Pac, because the guys one of my favourite fighters and i root for him in all his fights. Ive been a fan ever since the Morales fight, so dont think im hating.
He's not saying it because Pacquiao beat him in less rounds. He's sayinig it because of Mayweather's comments that Hatton was the toughest fighter he'd ever faced. To be fair though, I don't really believe that was at all true. Both DLH and JLC gave Mayweather more difficulty.

Pacquiao is this generation's best. The funny thing is, he did what Floyd was supposed to do by doing the same thing Floyd did.
No, he's not this generations best. That's BS. And I'm not a Pac hater, I travelled all the way from the UK to see Manny, not Ricky. I'm a fan. But he's not better than Floyd.

This villain talk is garbage. Wasn't Duran a villain in his lightweight hayday? Didn't he insult people & get under their skin? Did he not win fighter of the decade? **** outta here for people who think that. If Floyd fought the best he'd have a better case plain & simple. If your basing it on undefeated record why not Joe Calzaghe be fighter of the decade???

Bottom line, there's a lot more to being fighter of the decade than just skills & record. If we can't measure one's greatness vs. the best competition out there, there is no telling how great that person is. Unfortunately Floyds left too many questions.

                Pac has left no questions.

                Simple.

So according to your ******ed logic...

Junior Jones must be better than Pacquiao since he KO'd Barrera in 5 rounds, while Pacquiao needed 11 to make his corner throw in the towel.

Vasquez must be better than Pacquiao since he KO'd Larios while Pacquiao took him to a decision.

Hatton must be better than Floyd since he KO'd Castillo, while Floyd had two close fights with him.

Truth is, Hatton and Oscar were damaged goods by the time Pacquiao beat them, even Freddie Roach admitted to this.

You saw what Forbes did to Oscar, that's the same fighter that Pacquio destroyed at 147 instead of 154.Oscar's head was bigger than the body.

Manny is obviously the better fighter. He's just sold 2 million ppvs and Mayweather did less when he fought Hatton.

I think this guy does not like PBF and who can blame him. Floyd is one of the most hated men in boxing. I don't envy Floyd one bit. I feel sorry for him. But I have been saying this all along, where was Floyd's so called greatness against Hatton? Just look at all the ****** things Floyd had to do to win.
He hugged and held Hatton nearly the entire fight.
He hit Hatton with forearms, elbows and the side of his fist, all night long.
Joe Cortez was also helping Floyd most of the fight.
He ducked below Hatton's waistline and constantly was turning his back to his opponent. There was no greatness here my friends. What I saw was a desperate scared little boy who was afraid to fight and live up to his title.

Pacquiao on the other hand just came in and steam rolled Hatton and De La Hoya.

Based on thier last two performances, Manny Pacquaio outshines PBF. Manny looks like the great one while Floyd looks like the FAKE ONE.
