    850K + W/recession > 950K + W/ no recession.

It burns doesnt it. Like Lucas on an open wound.

Show me where I jumped all over that number, I was probably the first to point out the first article was a misquote by CNN.

well Floyd can't make the excuse that

        "Who is Pacquiao?"

        "He isn't a draw"

        These numbers show otherwise.

not only that, Pac did 450K+ with Marquez WITHOUT a 24/7 (just a coundown).
Mayweather/Marquez will have to exceed at least 600K+ for Floyd to have more weight in negotiations since its going to have a 24/7.

yea but he didn't do it during the recession. Against Hatton he only drew a tiny bit more, given the recession it would have been probably around the same.

And, he's not the best fighter anymore until he proves it again.

He did do more ppv buys against DLH, but I think Pacquiao's draw has risen since then. more and more people are talking about him. for boxing it would have been much better if Pacquiao got that 2.4 million ppv sales record as opposed to Mayweather who probably steered more away from boxing than gathered.

Mayweather vs Pacquiao has to be 50/50 or else there is no way the fight will get done, Manny has already shown to have a big ego in the negotiations with Hatton and Floyd has the biggest ego in the history of the world.

Check it out Quis, I think you are wrong about the 650k, Steve Kim is pretty reputable with insider info, BUT I think your point is well taken. The numbers hurt their negotiation for sure. If Floyd outsold against Ricky and Oscar compared to Manny, Floyd has hard evidence for bargaining. all this "Pac brings more people to the sport" doesn't mean **** cuz those numbers can't be quantified. This is looking to be a 50/50 type thing unless the fight with JMM tanks or draws less than 500K

I agree about the countdown, but the recession argument is not gonna fly. It's a bunch of speculation, which means as much as what came outta your ass last night at the negotiation table. Boxing venues have been packed for big fights all over the world since the recession. Staples, Houston, Montreal and Europe have put on big fights and sold out.

I don't know how many people the countdown brings, but Pac Hatton and Floyd Hatton both had countdown shows.

selling out shows isn't the same as ppv buys.

it's too different demographics I think
