good numbers for two non American fightersComment

850K is fantastic for two non-american's, non-mexican fighters. Scratch that, 850K is good for any PPV.
Bob arum must have expected 2 million or something crazy like that and is disappointed I guess.
But he/we should look at the bigger picture. Pacquiao was ALL OVER the media after the fight, everyone and their mama was talking about how great Pacman is. His next PPV will do over a million fasho.Comment

Because that is the SECOND time that FMJ outsold manny with a common opponent, with a potential for a THIRD (July 18th).
If Arum allows the nums to get out, it damages his negotiating leverage. If fighters know that they will be in bigger fights (and thus bigger paydays) with FMJ, then it reduces manny's option pool.
It's smart business to play weak numbers close to the vest. Feel me?Comment

I got the number, Arum's secrecy be damned. From what my sources tell me, the fight sits at about 825,000 domestic pay-per-view buys with the likelihood that when they're all counted, the total will reach 850,000 or more. - Rafael
Many of you have asked me for the pay-per-view figures for Pacquiao-Hatton, but nobody really knows since Bob Arum now guards his numbers closer than Colonel Sanders did his secret recipe for fried chicken. But one source tells me that it did 'north of 800,000' in the States..... - Kim
I'll have to take Kim's and Rafael's over yours Mojao.Comment

Also, what did you say when I told you over a week ago that Arum was restricting HBO from releasing the nums?
