    How limited is Kelly Pavlik?

I never seen Hopkins fight as offensively as he did that night as if he knew being too defensive would be a negative against Pavliks style. Except against Tarver he was a bit more active, but I felt like he was really offensive monster against Pavlik.

Everybody expected Hopkins to be KO'd into retirement. Sort of like against Trinidad and Tarver.

A Young and Strong champion taking on and old man, really made everyone thinking of this one outcome.

Hopkins just schooled him silly really, just like against Tarver and Trinidad.

He effectively ended the careers of Trinidad and Tarver. Don't know yet about Pavlik.

Kelly Pavlik has serious power in both hands. He has a big heart and always come's to fight and give's 100%. His is rather slow of hand and foot speed, and his defence is very medicore, his chin is good at best, but can be dropped. Pavlik also has a good finishing ability, rarely letting you off, when he's hurt you. When he wants he can also put some good combinations together. But as Bernard Hopkins's proved Kelly can be beat to the punch rather easily.

As a amature Kelly was a boxer mover, and when punching for pay, started planting his feet more and becoming more of a puncher.

Calzaghe totally ****ed himself for taking a fight over roy and not pavlik. His speed and movement would have probably done the same thing to Pavlik. HAHAHA, its funny in some ways... Calzaghe could have retired over a win over Pavlik but instead Jones Jr... Not a good decision from his people unless he saw something in Pavlik that could beat him... I don't see anything in Pavlik that would have beaten Calzaghe. The fans were looking so forward to a Calzaghe/Pavlik showdown and I was personally pissed off when Calzaghe fought Jones Jr instead.

Well when my first glimpse of Pavlik was the Miranda fight and i thought he looked like a decent fighter but nothing more. When he beat Taylor the first time i decided to watch a few of his previous performances against McKart,Zertuche, and i came to the conclusion that yes he has lots of heart and he is a good guy, but he is just a one dimmensional consistent fighter with above average.

I like Pavlik because he is a warrior but he is what he is.

I to think Calzaghe has to pinch himself for not taking the Pavlik showdown, I feel with Calzaghe's speed, accuracy, timing, and southpaw stance, would of all been to much for Pavlik. And a Calzaghe/Pavlik showdown would of been much bigger than the Jones Jr/Calzaghe fight.

It would of been a much better win for Calzaghe, in terms of legacy. Beating the prime Middlweight Champion, who had not yet tasted defeat. But Calzaghe chose to beat a very past his best Roy Jones Jr, who he said he would never fight a few years before, due to him being finished.

Hopkins was too slick, too quick and too smart for Pavlik.

I knew Hopkins lateral movement would cause Pavlik hell, I also knew Hopkins would take away his jab that Pavlik uses to set up everything he does.

I never expected Hopkins to be so offensive and i never expected to be so one sided either.
