According to father and trainer Ray Hatton, former champion Ricky Hatton should have withdrawn from his May 2 bout with Manny Pacquiao. Hatton was knocked out in two rounds. Ray says the training camp for the fight was so chaotic that Ricky should have pulled out and postponed the fight to another date. There were pre-fight rumors that trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. was at odds with Ricky and assistant trainer Lee Beard. Ray is right. They should have pulled out because Pacquiao was going to hand him his ass. At least Ricky isn't making excuses.

who knows this training camp issue is true.lee beard said there was no problem in their camp. maybe they just made this up before the fight just to have a excuse if hatton losses to pacquiao. besides, i can't think of any other credible excuse that the hatton camp can pullout from their bag of excuses.lol...but if hatton wins, he will look even better with all the chaos in his training camp being said. props to his publicist for doing a good job!!!lol....

Every bad performance from Hatton and his losses seem to have excuses.

Collazo - Fight was at 147, put on the weight wrong, short notice, should have pulled out of fight.

Urango - Virus, should have pulled out of fight.

Mayweather - Fight was at 147.

Lazcano - Another virus, should have pulled out of fight.

Pacquiao - Bad training camp, should have pulled out of fight.

They seem very keen to say Hatton should have pulled out of fights when he has bad nights. I'm not saying these things aren't true, I'm just tired of hearing about them.

Every fighter in history has an excuse/ reason for why they are beat.

Ricky himself has never made any excuses, time after time he has said he was beaten by the better man in both his defeats.

I dont know whether u just chose to lie but, i have never heard RICKY HATTON SAY THE BETTER MAN BEAT HIM IN BOTH OF HIS DEFEATS.

i think we'd rather talk about and debate on what excuses pacquiao's opponent will bring after they got beaten instead of their ability to beat pacman.. let's start it now:
