well I only bring it up because Hatton was so vocal about discrediting Pac's win over Oscar.

yet going back to it, Ricky would of had to go up to 147 for a DLH fight and im pretty sure he didn't want to do that (the big potential fight at Wembley)

**remember 147 isn't Hatton's weight, and a loss at Welter we're bound to hear an excuse.

I've been catching onto Hatton's trash talk for one thing, it doesn't sound the least bit convincing.

at a glance, it sounds like it's coming from someone who's less skilled and relies more on his physical strength to out muscle opponents

**generally speaking a lot of the pre fight trash talk from Hatton it sounds like somebody who's in over his head, knows it, and is desperately trying to grasp at something.

and that's fine, im good with self motivation, its just that Ricky over values himself, and under values his opponents

(take the whole DLH-Pacquiao situation for example)

well ricky hatton always talks as a third person. probably the guy who got knocked out wasn't him.

hatton - "pacquiao never face a fighter as big as ricky hatton, p4p p4p p4p"

I think the whole so called training issues that has surfaced is because Hatton and his camp took Manny lightly. Manny handed them their asses along with their reputations so you now have Hatton's camp divided and placing blame on each other.

The simple fact is, if Floyd Sr. was out of line, Hatton should have fired him early. If Hatton was out of line and not being serious, Floyd as his trainer should have buckled down on him and made him serious.

It's all about inflated ego's. Team Hatton thought they were playing the Floyd Jr. game by picking on the smaller guy. The smaller guy kicked his ass.

Ray should just keep his mouth shut, he's making his son look bad. He's always giving interviews and talking to the media without speaking to Ricky first & some of the stuff he says is untrue. Seems to me that he's just thinking about another payday and not his sons health.

edit: When did he become a trainer?

pulling out of the fight wouldn't have made a difference. Only that Hatton would have been KOed at a different date.

Hatton let a lot of people down with that performance. Especially with his pre fight talk of put your house on it. What a joker.
