No. He cannot surpass Manny since Manny has beaten him.

Beat Manny and then he would claim that spot but until then, he would be no #2 when he beats floyd

hmmmm.....I say yes. Marquez took on 3 legitimate challenges. Where Pac took an easy victory over David Diaz, a risky fight with Oscar, and then a legitimate challenge against Hatton.

Technically, but a win over Floyd would surpass anything Manny has done and given that Manny only holds a win by 1 single point in two fights and Marquez has won more rounds against Manny, It's pretty easy to give JMM the nod here if he can pull it off. Don't hate.

              HOPEFULS.

PBF is not even rated/ranked p4p right now.

didn't you even know that even if Ricky Hatton beat Pacquiao, Hatton won't become #1?

A young and tough David Diaz > An old overrated Casamayor.

Casamayor should have lost his belt to Jose Armando Santa Cruz. It was the worst robbery (HBO had it at 118-109 for Santa Cruz). Watch it!

David Diaz knocked out Santa Cruz.

Katsidis is the journeyman. Even the unknown Filipino, Cezar Amonsot, destroyed his face and almost beat him.

If Pac isn't as great as he is and just wins a UD over Oscar, I bet Pac will get more credit than the ass whopping he did. Same could be true with Hatton. That's the drawback in winning easy fights when you're great... it makes your opponents look washed up.

This is why I feel Mayweather vs Marquez shouldn't have been made so Pac can fight them both. Then we'll really know who's #1.

He lost the fights to Manny. Doesn't matter how many rounds or minutes he won.
