When did this myth of Cotto possessing Pernell, Hopkins, or Mayweather skills come along? Cotto always has been a come forward fighter that tries to outman his opponents and break them down, while trying to block punches. He fought on even terms with Mosley, and did somthing odd which many of you considered to be defensive, but lets be hones, he RAN during the last few rounds against Mosley plain and simple, There was no slipping and sliding, countering and shoulderolling, he also tried to run against Margarito, but he would have no part of it.

I don't necessarily think he could have done what I think he should have defensively, but potshotting instead of throwing combos... he could have definitely done that.

But that would have been the right way to fight Margarito.

He was coming off of a loss and it looked like things were over for him.

Is Miguel Cotto more known to the public than Bernard Hopkins? I don't think so.

Hopkins has been in a fight that sold over a million PPV buys people are forgetting that.

that's a term fabricated by EA Sports for their "Fight Night" series.

                  thank you, come again.
                  Really?

                  That's odd.

I thought it was used to describe a way to defend from a punch with your own hand, and I thought it has been use since at least the late 19th century. So you are tellling me that this Fight Night thing you are talking about is something dating back to when? the bare knuckle era?

He is more well known to the MANY Puerto Rican boxing fans in NY, Orlando, and South Florida, not to mention Jersey and Philly.

BHOP is probably more well known but not by PPV buyers.

Oscar always sells, but Oscar looked like utter **** against Sturm, which affected the buy-rate. Not to mention it did more that Oscar vs Vargas, and Oscar vs Mosley 1 and 2, Oscar vs Mayorga and so on.
