I really don't.
He never hurt Boldimir, although he landed some really hard shots.

JMM will take this and surprise everyone.

But if he doesn't, I agree that Mayweather needs to excite to get to Pac.

Why not make the money with your own fighters... on top of that, Cotto and manny will only help make each other bigger by fighting each other, Im sure Arum wants his fighters to be as well known as possible

        is Q, Dios?
Floyds is also a risk but its one that worth taking because it brings more attention as well as the two names together will bring more casuals. I would assume they would like Pacs chances against a boxer defender like Floyd more so than a heavy boody puchers like Cotto. If Floyd wins they feel it will be on points and you can still get some big fights for Manny. If cotto wins there is a big chance it will be by KO and will take the steam out of future Mega fights. There is a chance that Floyd stops Manny too but if Iam team Pac I would think that is the less likey to happen. I still think Maywether Pac makes everybody more money in the long run.

          Pac-Floyd is a mega-event. Pac-Cotto is not a mega-event.

Consider this: for all the hype and discussion on this (and every) board, Hatton-Pac did much less than, say, Delahoya-Mayorga. Hatton -Pac did under 650K. If that is a "mega-event", then what was Floyd-Hatton (@ 915K)?

Now, if you are taking the "public marketing-y" approach (a la Taffet) , then yes. It is a mega-event. But in my reasoned, analytical mind, it is not.

Cotto didn't come close to selling out an arena in Vegas vs. Margarito. The stadium was 35-40% empty. In a heavily-hyped fight. Cotto and margarito (in a split-bill) set the record for the LOWEST rated WCB event ever.
Miguel Cotto sells ****. Other than the gate during the Puerto Rican Day weekend, he can't move paper. Verify.

I thought the fight went ppv?

Which means Floyd ALSO won't agree to Arum's split.

ARUM WILL NOT give Floyd a 50/50 split, and Floyd won't accept anything BUT, or more.

I still can't see a possibility of these two coming to terms.
If they are expecting Floyd to fight like pacman then they will be upset.
what if the fight is like pbf vs. Chico would that be good enough to get him a 50\50 split to be honest if they going to base how much each fighter going to make if this fight happens it should be 50/40 for pacman and the winner gets the other 10%

To be honest I dont see mayweather KO jmm. It will be a boring counter punch fest. PBF by UD.

                    • Pacquiao punches harder than mayweather. So if he can't KO marquez with a couple a hardshots i dont think mayweather can. Lets be realistic here.
