ummm Cotto has not been down 6 times.

His only knockdown pre-Margarito was the Torres fight when he went down once. The Torres knockdown was more of a push down, but Cotto was clearly rocked so it's legit......

point is, Margarito didn't knock him down 5 times.

mosley is better than cotto because

1) mosley/cotto I was a close fight in cotto's backyard
2) cotto got whupped by margo, while mosley destroyed margo

in light of this evidence, you must come to the conclusion that mosley is better. it's just logical.

I don't think I agree with that.

It's similar to the triangle between Foreman, Frazier, and Ali. Foreman destroyed Frazier who prior had beaten Ali, then Ali went and Ko'd Foreman who everyone thought was going to run down Ali.

Styles make fights and Cotto would beat Mosley time and time again based off his style. Cotto isn't a sitting duck like Margarito was and Mosley would again have trouble with Cotto's Boxing.

I think it all depends on what happens after July 18th with Floyd vs Marquez. If Floyd and Pacquiao do indeed end up fighting, I don't see any other logical fight to happen but a Cotto vs Mosley II which I think a lot of people would like to see.

yep and until we do it shouldn't be used as an excuse

Geez i hope this poll is for now cause prime Mosley> Prime Cotto easy and even now i would favour him. Sure Mosley lost a close fight vs him, but from what i hear he went in there and due to Cotto's chin at 140, thought he could just blow him out of there, clearly was not the case and Cotto won alot of the early rounds. Didnt the ref interrupt ******ly when Mosley had Cotto hurt to?

Though I'd love to see a rematch because the 1st was a great fight, I don't think the rematch will determine that much more that Cotto is better right now than Mosley. Some would argue that it was in Cotto's backyard and it was a hometown decision, but I think that's a bit unfair to Cotto's overall performance in the fight.

From a judges point of view and seeing that both fighter's were getting off shots, there had to be other intangibles you had to include such as who controlled the pace of the fight, who showed frustration, who was more active or landed the flusher shots, etc.

Cotto in my opinion landed the more effective shots and used his jab to his advantage. Mosley from round 4-8 look very frustrated with how Cotto was timing him. I don't think it had anything to do with being in Madison Square Garden. I want to believe the same decision would be given in Vegas as well.
