This is Cotto chance to beat the currrent biggest name in boxing. If he doesn't fight Pacman you know Mayweather will. And its highly unlikely Mayweather will give Cotto a fight. So Cotto must accept this fight. Its not like Cotto hasn't fought some of the biggest W.W. Mosley, Margarito & now Clottey.

Unfortunatly Mosley & Cotto arent the money fighters involved in the fight.

Cotto does have the option of turning it down as does Mosley (as far as Pacquiao goes), but thats alot of money they'd turn their back on.

Same thing with JMM and Mayweather.

Cotto and Mosley should fight....true, but with Pac, he did fight and beat Oscar at 147, right?

So, they called Pac out at 147 because that's where they fight.

It's the same with Floyd and people calling him out at 147+

You take a step into the ocean, and the sharks will come after you.

Should Cotto and Shane be fighting Pac? Probably not. Pac weighs in at 148; Shane and Cotto are 10+ over 147.

But it if you are going to fight them, be honorable and fight them when they are healthy.

Freddie/Arum will lure them in with GOLD.
It's hard for a fighter to turn down GOLD.

Do you know why they are in place , do you know why they are so easily manipulated , understand the weight classes and understand that a fighter weighing X amount 30 hrs before a fight is not important , what he weighs as he steps into the ring is what size he is and is all important , that should be easy for you to grasp .

The weigh-in and divisions are not an idication to the true size of a fighter ,, weigh-in weight wrong , it is not the true situation , how can you say a fighter is a bigger or smaller fighter when on fight night they weigh the same , the weight they fight at is their true weight not what they can weigh 30 hrs earlier , when evaluating a fighter this emphasis on weigh-in weight is ludicrous !!

Hatton fights Pac at jnr W and weighs 152 , Hatton fights Floyd at WW and weighs 152 , he fights KT Pauli and Castillo at 152 ,,,, Hatton was never beaten at Jnr W lol what a crock he got KOed twice .

Floyd fights Oscar at JM and weighs 148 while Oscar weighs 159 .

Manny fights JMM at jnr LW and weighs 147 and JMM weighs 144

Manny fights Oscar at WW and is 147 while Oscar is 145

JMM fights Casa and Diaz in a LW bout weighing 144

Williams fights Quintana at WW and is 164

Williams fights at MW and weighs 166 .

These are all fight night weights , what you really are stepping into the ring , so what does divisions and weigh-ins really tell you , not there true size thats obvious yet the fans and even the media ignore it , its like the actual weight a fighter is fighting dont matter in discussion I really cant get me head around that ,,,, like Hatton was never beat at Jr Welter before what a crock that is in the real fight , he was knocked out by Floyd weighing the same as he did for KT Castillo Pauli and Manny , another thread here about best weight and everybody quotes weigh-in weight how crazy is that when breaking a fighter down to what he really is the one time it counts , on fight night !
