Yes, but you obviously know Hopkins and I'm sure you've spent more time watching his fights than most people on this site. So you get a pass Precision!
Its okay for Pavlik to call out and fight Hopkins, but not Dawson? Its okay for Calzaghe to call out and beat Hopkins.......but not Dawson? Its okay for Froch to it? Say what you want about his performance against Tarver, he was the first and only man to ever beat Tarver in a rematch and i didn't see where he looked ''bad'' at, he was not only more aggressive but he also made the fight somewhat exciting by trading with Antonio. Hopkins is the number one light heavyweight in the world regardless of age and Dawson is number two, why not call out the man who's ranked in front of you for the ring magazine title? He might be 45 years old but that 45 year old can still beat a lot of champions today and is ranked number 3 pound for pound.
And for the person who stated how ''Hopkins beat Johnson when he was peaking and Dawson struggled with him'', don't forget that Johnson was not in his prime either when he and Bernard fought. Not to take anything away from Hopkins because he definitely deserves credit for beating an undefeated Johnson who was his mandatory, although he clearly no where near his stride. After that fight he turned into a stepping stone, and took fights on short notice until he changed his style around and moved up to light heavyweight. If you could honestly tell me that any version of Hopkins would toy with the Johnson that fought Dawson, then i could do nothing but laugh.

I love Chad Dawson and I am a fan! But I dont think he is ready for BHop! On the other hand, who the *** is Hop waitin on to fight? These two should face off, Chad wins and becomes a name, Hop wins ***azhe looks like a real legend(never will believe that shyt)!

Yes, I do believe a prime hopkins would have schooled that version of Johnson too. Remember styles make fights. And while Chad was foolishly fighting in spurts against Johnson and allowing Johnson to rush into him and get his shots off, a smart bhop would use his defense, lateral movement, clinching, etc. to frustrate the slower johnson. Easy fight for bhop at any point of his career. Tougher fight now though since he's 44.
The only reason why that fight was so tough for Chad was because he left himself open at times and Johnson tagged his ass almost sending him down to the canvas. Hopkins is NEVER open and simply doesn't get hit flush.

Man, I gotta tell 'ya ; I love reading your posts about B-Hop. Precision, Next in Line, -X-, and the rest of "Team Hopkins" as well.
I remember being one of maybe 3 Hopkins fans on this site back in 2006.
Now, when I click a thread and I see you guys talking about him and breaking it down, I gotta say ; it makes my **** twitch.
