You clearly haven't watched that fight, at all.

That's probably the fight you want to watch if you want to see what Hopkins was capable of in his prime.

He absolutely punished Johnson with a multitude of punches all night long.

The referee stopped it on accumulation.

As for Hopkins/Dawson ; I already told everybody who would listen, Hopkins is retired.

He just doesn't know it yet.

There's nobody out there right now that offers him the kind of money that he wants, and neither Dawson, nor Adamek, nor Froch do very much for his legacy at all, aside from another title. Not to mention that nobody cares about Dawson (after Saturday's performance), Adamek, or Froch - they don't have big followings.

They also don't offer him the motivation to put his 44 year old body through yet another grueling training camp.

    He's done.
so NOW hopkins was prime when he fought johnson
but he was green as grass and did'nt know how to throw a punch when he fought jones

Uh, NO hopkins was NOT prime in 2007

then his prime was when he fought trinidad, now it's gone back to johnson, which can be said to be green, johnson would ko hopkins today
I'd say his prime was between 1998-2002. A persons prime usually doesn't last that long. This is the period when he was PHYSICALLY at his peak as well as MENTALLY. His physical peak definitely started to decline sometime after Trinidad, although he's always maintained his ring intelligence.

And lol @ johnson KO'ing hopkins today. I should give you red k for that dumb statement (Johnson couldn't even KO JUDAH, what the hell makes you think he could KO one of the best defensive guru's in the game as well as one of the best chins??).

and did you know hopkins was a proffesional boxer for 5 years before meeting jones? green my ass
And are you aware that hopkins was in prison for 5 years during the time Roy Jones was experiencing his great amateur career and Olympics? Roy jones fought on a HUGE stage way before hopkins did. Hopkins first time ever seeing the big lights was against Roy Jones. Whereas Roy Jones had already been threw fights much, much bigger than hopkins.

There is no way in hell hopkins was prime when he fought roy jones. He'll, even roy jones probably wasn't quite prime yet either.
