No Camacho against Campas is what wrong with boxing and schedule the fight for only eight rounds and stick it on pay-per-view as a main event

He was the #1 Contender if you remember. In all fairness, even though Floyd probably did duck Margarito, it was really Cotto that drove him into retirement twice.

that's what you get in a fighting world when you're able to choose your opponents. there's room for non-fighters and real fighters, but then again some real fighters don't wanna fight cos they'll lose.

Margarito held the WBO belt. Regardless his quality of opponents don't hold up to Judah or Gatti.

no i rather watch 2 old fighters who fought the best in there primes than seeing a really talented fighter handpick his opponents and when a challenge presents itself he retires and ducks the best fighter

Bless this thread! Just goes to show you how May's resume is also bull****. All hand picked opponents that he knew he would win against.

In what year should floyd VS all these fighters should have happen ?

it is crazy because i was having this discussion with another poster in another thread.

                  In 2006
The top 2 man in the welterweight division were
                  zab judah and carlos baldomir.
and Floyd Mayweather beat them both. before Miguel Cotto even came to the welterweight division.

                  In 2006
                  Miguel Cotto was fighting
                  Ricardo Torres at 140
                  Gianluca Branco at 140
                  Paul Malignaggi at 140
Carlos Quintana at 147 first fight.
[By that Time Floyd Already beat Carlos and Zab and won the lineal WW championship.]

So When do you think Mayweather vs. Cotto should have happen?

                  2007
Mayweather fought de la hoya in the biggest selling fight and boxing history
and then Mayweather fought and destroyed Undefeated Ricky Hatton and highest grossing non-heavyweight fight not involving de la hoya.

2006 : Cotto fighting at Jr. WW while Floyd was fighting Welterweights
2007: Floyd was Fighting Jr. Middleweights and making history. and defeating another top undefeated fighter.

                    Titles are irrelevant, ok.

So, we'll never again here from you how Floyd is a 5 division champion right?

                    Since titles are irrelevant.
