What people fail to realize is that Antonio Tarver is still a pretty good fighter. It's not easy for anyone to look good against him. Plus Tarver fought much better than he did in their first encounter. He fought with desperation because he knew if he lost it was his last fight on a big stage. Dawson still handled him with ease. So I don't see what all the uproar is about. Dawson is still the best light heavyweight in the world, and beats anyone from 168-175.

No great personal stake in Dawson for my part, just thought those comments were hilarious back to back.

He took off the entire third round. I didnt say he wouldnt be effective but I give Froch, Dirrell, Ward, Taylor and Kessler all a good shot at beating him. Id really like to see him and JT but they should schedule it for 8rds because they both gas early.

When Tarver threw punches Dawson clammed up. An aggressive fighter outworks him easily.

Tarver has power in those punches that is why he clammed up . An aggressive fighter gets countered all night by Bad Chad.

i just thought it was a horrible fight in total. really, chad should have capitolized at certain times, but he didnt. and tarver looks like he punches with his shoulders more and has a faily weak punch, especially most of the time with those tippy tappy light combos he throws.

it was not too fun to watch. but dawson did throw some heavier shots at times.

I think instead of discrediting Chad, you gotta give props to Tarver for putting up a better fight Imho. I think Tarver beats any other Light Heavyweight except for Hopkins.

So he only counters if they have no punch whatsoever? He didnt even try to counter most of the time he would wait for Tarver to get done throwing then decide to fight back. I think Dawson has a lot of potential I just he would allow himself to get outworked. I was hoping him and Dirrell would meet up in a super fight because of their athleticism but neither has that killer instinct
