Where talking about weight, whether its at 140, 141, 142, 143, 144, 145, 146, 147... the fight night weight will be 148 for both fighters... so how does it make a difference what weight they fight at?

I understand if its Cotto, he weighs like 155+ on fight night when Pacquiao weighs 148 on fight night... that would be unfair, but with Mayweather they will both weigh 148 on fight night... so it makes no difference what weight the fight is scheduled at...

exactly, what people fail to understand is pac aint willingto go past 142 but 148 wouldnt make a difference. Floyd is not willing to go to 140 for jmm. And its not just about weight, pac has only 2 fights above 135 and floyd has alot more than 2 so he's more experience at the higher weights than pac.

exactly! if floyd and pac are the same size then floyd should be able to make the 140 lbs limit as easily as pac does.

Mayweather is alway expected to fight someone bigger so i understand why he said that, I dont really know how high JMM has weighed in on fight night so i cant comment on him, But pacman isnt a little guy anymore he walks around 155+ before going into camp.

Most boxer who isnt Mayweather or Hopkins go into camp 20Ib over their fighting limit which they have to cut with hard training/nutrition/not eating which is very unhealth and unsafe for them.

If paq had to fight someone like Cotto who weigh 170+(walking around weigh) at 147...165+ re-hydrate on fight night then thats not fair..

so why does it matter to floyd and pac? It doesnt matter what me and you think we dont train and fight. But it matters to floyd and pac and thats all that really matters. Floyd said it himself, jmm and pac are too small. He owned his own fans with that comment.

I aint saying hes at a disadvantage fighting at 140... it would be the same fighting at 140 as 147... all I am saying is people can't bring bull**** up saying its unfair at 147 because at fight night they will weigh exactly the same... all I am saying, makes no difference whether its at 140 or 147.

This means that there are no bull**** excuses if its at 147.

I aint saying it shouldn't be at 140, all I am saying is that you can't say it makes any difference whether its at 147 or 140... just takes more time cutting weight, the Hatton Pacquiao fought at 140 will weigh more on fight night than fighting Mayweather at 147 on fight night.

Smaller in height, smaller in reach, FAIR ENOUGH, but, smaller in weight on fight night? No, they will weigh exactly the same whether its at 140 or 147, I aint saying it shouldn't be at 140, all I am saying is that you can't give any bull**** saying that its different at 147 because there wont be any difference at either weight.

Your height or reach doesn't change from moving up or down in weight.

I look at it like this; if Floyd weighs like 155+ against JMM cause of his body changing through the lay-off then fair enough, if he weighs 148 on fight night like Pacquiao did against Hatton is wont make ANY difference.

Like pullcounter said, floyd should be able to get to the 140 limit. Thats were pac fights, if he wants pac he should take his ass to 140 point blank
