so how come floyd would'nt fight jmm at 140 if it does'nt make a difference?

Whether its at 140, 147, 144, 143, 145, whatever... they will weigh EXACTLY the same on fight night... Pacquiao will weigh 148 and so would Floyd... I just don't see how it makes a difference, just more work will have to be putting into the gym to get down to the weight when they will weigh the same on fight night.

Explain to me a time when he has weighed 155 on fight night? He weighed just about 150 against Oscar when Oscar weighed 165ish on fight night. He wouldn't weigh 155 on fight night judging by his last fights... he will weigh 148 because his body will do that over night like Pacquiao's does after weigh-ins to get him to 148 on fight night.

Unless over the 18 month period of retirement his body has changed, and we see against JMM he weighs more on fight night... then I would understand, but if not it wouldn't make any difference because they will weigh the same on fight night.

That's my opinion, yours may be different... I am just saying against PACQUIAO, they will weigh the same... unless like I said his body has changed and he weighs more than usual in the JMM fight on fight night.

This is what I don't understand. If pacman is the best P4P in the world right now then why would fighting him and them weighing the same not be good enough. Cotto isn't as good p4p anyway so whatever...

I dont think you guy understand how weigh works in boxing, If they both(Pacquaio/Mayweather) agree to fight at 140 then it mean both would have to work extra hard to come under 140 because they walk around at 155ish.

If they both agree to fight at 147 it means they dont have to kill themselves in training getting under that weigh, the highest both been known to re-hydrate to after a weigh in is 148, which means manny who was campaigning at 130ish before was killing himself in training to come-down to 130....so the question is why kill yourself to make weigh when you can fight at a higher weigh against a guy who basically weigh the same as you.

If Mayweather beat JMM and he and pacquoia agrees to a fight at 140/147 then none of them have any advantage or disadvantage.

Thank you... if it made a difference I would be completely fair and say he should go down to 140... but in this case it doesn't make a difference.

lol, i dont think they understand how weigh works in boxing, I box not as a pro but box in my spare-time, They need to speak to a few boxers for them to understand what you and i are talking about.

                (1) Its not a title fight so they're not obligated to.
                (2) Mayweather is coming from a long-lay off so its understandable he might not want to put his body under that sort of stress in making weight.

if pac and floyd were the same size, floyd would be able to make 140 lbs no problem

its not only about weight. height, reach and experience fighting at the weight also play a factor. But hey dont take my word for it, fraud jr. himself said jmm and pac are too small for him.
