Floyd Mayweather gave Hugman a dose of reality and now he has lost his fight, and has been all talk covering his lack of skill and will to learn.
Don't you think Ricky Hatton!

I wouldn't say it was will to learn, just the fact he can't, i mean in the 24/7 he was learn defence but he just don't use it, he just can't fight with defence!Comment

Don't you think Ricky Hatton in his last couple of fights looked ill at his weigh in? i can't find the pictures of them but i can remember watching them and thinking he's ill, and he never looks himself when he just gets into the ring any more, i can remember when he was in the ring and was just focused on the fight but yet again recently he has just not been bothered. Maybe Floyd Sr. has ****ed with his head in training, i just don't think he is himself any more!Comment

He just needs to learn to use defence then he could fight again untill then there is no point!Comment

Hatton is a small fighter with short arms and lacks great 1 punch power. Ricky has NO choice but to fight the way he does with pressure, he'll never be a defensive wizard. His defense was using the clinch when inside and having a good chin. Now that his chin apparently has been broken down from the many wars he was in he has to carefully pick his future opponents should he decide to fight on past his prime.
There's also no shame not being on Pac or Floyd's "level" because nobody else is either and there are some GREAT fighters that tried and also failed on that "level" it's not like there's 20 fighters that great at JWW and WW. Hatton had enough talent that if Pac or Floyd had an off night and he was on, he could easily have pulled off the upset like he did against Tszyu and Castillo! There was a reason Ricky was the underdog in all of those fights and Ricky should get more credit then he does for having MANY great victories over Champions and really good contenders and never losing to a fighter below his talent level like so many boxers do. It takes a GREAT fighter to beat Ricky Hatton, respect!Comment

Nah he was/is a great fighter and no-one can take that off of him, like it was said he lost 2 fights and when he fought them fights his opponent's was and are the best p4p boxer they was ranked #1, so really he has more than a fan base!
You never know he might fight on and one day get that number one you never know, no one knows what will happen but he lost two fights and they was against the number 1 p4p fighter, so really you can't say he only has a fan base!
Who said anything about pac?........review my history....never hated on hatton...................nope never did............im just going with your logic................i mean ....isnt it possible a "non-elite" like hatton(using your term) loss to Pacman...without any underlying excuse?.......thats all......LOLLast edited by Ray*; 05-10-2009, 08:04 PM.Comment

Ricky Hatton always looks like that at weight ins. Against Malignaggi he looked like he had AIDs and dominated the fight. It's just that Hatton should not share the ring with great fighters.Comment
